Jules, i have a conundrum question. Many pbs with dust jackets, like the Albatros you showed, when the jacket is so ragged and damaged, it is almost not worth keeping. Especially since the book underneath is usually very nice condition. I would want to chuck the jacket, but then again they are rare. What about doing a color xerox of the jacket and then wrapping it around the original damaged jacket as a protector? What do you think?

It's a thought Gary. I do sometimes remove the jackets and have quite a pile of them laid flat. Never really considered doing a copy tbh.

Only poetry?!? It hurts me to hear you say that! Still, a fine video!

Sorry, it's not intentional.

Jules, sorry for bumping up randomly, but I have a question: I've bought a bunch of Dell editions (early early sixties) of Brett Halliday's Mike Shane paperbacks, and a few Peter Cheyney's Fontana editions (also very early sixties, also paperbacks). And all of them are quite dirty. What do you suggest for cleaning them? (I know that you have lots of cleaning videos, but I'm a bit afraid not to damage books, so sorry for this direct question, despite vast amount of videos on this issue. But your repairing tips are already implemented, and saved some very dear books!)

For outright dirty/grubby covers, trying gentle Mr Sheen polish should work wonders. Being 60's issues, the covers should be laminated so you won't damage the books.

Hmmm. I can see where it could be ASMR, there are promising sounds and a nice voice, but the pace of the narration and the action are urgent, even a little stressful.
