I haven’t seen monkeys from such an up close and personal perspective like this. It’s so strange how darn similar we are. Like ya, you’re told we’re relatives evolutionarily but when looking from a distance it’s very easy to see the differences between us and not think much of it. Up close,...the fingers, the eyes, even the mannerisms of their hands working diligently at their task...it’s just kinda spooky how familiar it seems.

Interesting that this actually gives me very mild tingles when I'm normally tingle-immune. Extremely relaxing to watch though! I wonder if the little slaps would normally be to disturb any bugs clinging on another primate's fur. Imagine getting this treatment on your head! Same here! I used to get tingles a lot when i first discovered asmr videos, but then I became somewhat immune with all the exposure, only getting them in certain situations. Oddly enough, monkey grooming seems to be a consistent trigger. It checks all the marks of an asmr video. Personal attention, focus/intent, slapping, mouth sounds, etc. So weird. 😅
