I watched Walter Cronkite from my earliest recollection until he was forced into retirement way too early. He got lots of vacation, and I can remember being disappointed when Roger Mudd filled in for him. I was glad Roger Mudd didn’t get that job. After Walter left I switched to John Chancellor.
