cards looks so much better than weiss. potential to squeeze weiss into the corner along with other tcg with signed stamped. also considering that there is a chance for hand signed cards in UA ups its value. another factor is in japanese ver its 1 signed per case compared to 3-4 in weiss. and last but not least the amount of ips they are getting is all the top animes that we hoped weiss would get but never did.

i dont know when we will see the hand signs for UA. the starter decks for Bleach and Hunter x Hunter are just shiny alts. UA will put pressure as I have already guessed with Weiss' Nikke announcement. They still will be ok since UA doesnt cover all the IPs. I still think they should compliment each other vs one over the other.

@@BigBAnimeTCG yea i totally agree. and i was basing on the japanese version released so far on the 2 stars and up cards that look nice. for now it does seem like weiss has more IPs than UA but also we have seen UA do same IP as weiss like sao and atot. i guess we will just have to wait for the future.

@AniSculpts those UA new sets look so nice. i cant wait for Bleach 2. i used this example on another comment but someone that love magical girls may not be interested in Bleach or JJK. they cover different genres. the problem with Weiss is no matter how much they cram in releases they can only do so many. UA covers the holes in genre Weiss misses. same for Weiss with UA. I think people miss the fact that by getting people interested in cards of anime themes and IPs, that leads to increased business in the long term as people delve deeper into anime.

Player applications begin august 2nd for the starter deck prerelease? So is that when it goes on the bandai tcg+ app?

theyve been pushing the super prerelease so i would hope august 2nd we can do it on the app. however if it is really in store signups, i wouldnt be surprised. more cause signing up / buying the deck.

@BigBAnimeTCG I'm going to guess it's on the app. I hope I'll be able to get into the prerelease. My locals is only getting 8 of each starter deck for 16 players max. Hopefully I can get the deck I want.

Are the autograph Bleach cards only for the english release and not Japanese?

correct. the original release in jp didnt have autographs for set 1. Bandai realized this needed to be added to bring more people in. that is why JP sets now have them.

Do you think Union Arena will replace Weiss Schwarz, given that the latter is not being advertised much by Bushiroad, while Bandai is heavily promoting the English version? Edit: never mind, you already made a video about this

it wont ever replace. kind of like how people think mtg will be replaced. if a TCG has a solid player base, I think it can stay. People play with sets in Weiss that have come out years ago. Union Arena also doesnt fill the void of IPs that Weiss does. in a weird way, these 2 will support each other.

@@BigBAnimeTCG yes, but you are talking about two products from two different companies: Bushiroad does less advertising, while Bandai does a lot. In fact, what I'm noticing here where I live (Europe) is that those stores that have abandoned WS, or never even knew about it, are now pushing for UA. This is why I think that Bandai's excessive advertising might replace or reduce the importance of WS.

@@IvanoMercuri i get what you are saying but weiss was always expensive in europe for the last 3 years I have been making videos. advertising will not make someone that likes magical girls buy into union arena. the IPs, the higher rarity treatment, and gameplay are not the same.

Waiting for One-Punch Man. I dont think shonen stuff inspires as much buying devotion from this particular niche as waifu stuff, so I'll be interested to see if fhis game can get more crossover appeal with mainstream anime fans.

i think with what happened with one piece, this one should do fine. it is when we get past these initial releases / solid titles where it might be iffy.

I’m still recovering from one piece TCG whiplash. Past performance is not a predictor of future performance, but I kind of agree with people that comment on the pattern of Bandai games.

​@@BigBAnimeTCGI just saw what the whiplash was about, the only thing I would say is Bandai killed the Dragon Ball TCG so if anyone is saying that the One Piece IP is too big to fail they are lying, that being said One Piece TCG player base seems to be huge and whatever shenanigans Bandai is doing seems to be hurting mostly investors/collectors. I hope they don't fuck up Union Arena, Weiss needs competition here in English
