So the deck that did win 2023 worlds 9 months ago did not have a ban. This win likely is what caused the pair ban (march 2024). Ban was lifted last month (october 2024) in Japan for a 2 card restriction for the starter Sukuna.

@@LullabyAnto Yep people started running Nanami package which helps but JP also has premium set of cards and another set as well with better color triggers. Blue JJK is definitely gonna be a menace

I've been really interested in this deck. Doing a bit of testing and tried out both sides of the restriction coin. Tried 4 of the 2/1 yuji instead and adding in a few more of either the 5/1 and 6/2 Sukuna, ran a few games and then swapped back to the 4/1 Starter Sukuna instead and it just feels so much more consistent

UA02NC/JJK-2-006 is also a card that contributed to Sukuna deck's consistency during the 2023 format as its a 1ap replacement for the color trigger as 2ap sometime feels clunky. Just think that its worth a mention.

Blue Sukuna is definitely still the strongest JJK deck. I think it could even be in the same Tier like Kurapika & Ichigo. I really enjoy the Purple Mahito deck tho, it’s pretty fun

I’d say the yuji is polarizing because a lot of decks won’t have much worth bouncing on the front line outside of raids and bouncing a raid back to hand so they can raid it again for more on play value is a tough sell.

See, it’s about choosing the right cards to bounce and what cards to pop with your sukuna or divergent fist. There’s 4 different types of removal in this deck. I don’t think it’s as big of an issue as others are making it out to be

Make sure you using the maki, blocking with nanami and milling, or even taking the extra draw. Sukukuna is definitely a pilot dependent deck. I’ll be sure to link some games when kozmic and I play

So to play this deck you have to be very greedy with your plays, using Nobara to draw, using Jujutsu third year to draw three trash 2, taking the ap draw, setting up your Yujis early so you can tap them to use the fingers, you have ALOT of draw power to your disposal, just gotta sequence it
