Hy Satyam Singh. I want a insight about Bhopal. Is the water still contaminated? Can agriculture be done in that land? Are people still dying because of the Bhopal Gas tragedy? Is Government working towards it? Please respond.

Can’t believe it was 9 years ago I was there, and still little has been done to clean up the site. Just gets worse and worse. I’d love to see it cleaned up and the land used for a hospital, University department to study industrial disasters globally, and some of the plant kept as a memorial.

@AndyGreenT4 жыл бұрын
Have you been there? It is safe to walk around, just not touch the soil or drink the local water that is severely contaminated. It’s not nerve gas, but it is nasty. The soles of my walking boots dissolved, even with over-shoes. I’m an environmental scientist, and this is one of the nastiest, most polluted sites I’ve ever been to. I wore a respirator. Mr. Chobham chose not to. I cannot believe nothing has been done to remediate the site in almost 30 years. It shames India’s aspirations as a space-tech nation. Look to our earth first before looking to “your” stars....... and leave it fit for future generations.
