Union Pacific 844 Departs Rock Springs, WY 2017

On the final day of the 2017 Boise Turn Special, the Wyoming Spring time weather decided to put on a show alongside the Union Pacific 844 as it ran home to Cheyenne, WY. Coming from the men who filmed this video, IT, WAS, COLD!!! In this video, watch as the 844 is backed out of the storage track in Rock Springs, and sent Eastbound on the main. as the train leaves Green River we pass Point of Rocks and Red Desert Siding the site of the worst train disaster of the BIG BOY Era 4005 derailed here and had to be retired.
