Elon is trying to access information of HOW funds are sent, the actual distribution system for payments already allocated by Congress. Congress is responsible for all spending. They can start programs or end them, not the executive branch. What musk is doing is technically illegal, it is in effect a coup. Not being a lawyer on what standings does a union have to prevent oversight of a Federal Agency. If I was a union boss I would be careful. President Trump may use an EO to ban all public employee unions.

Since Musk is not a permanent federal employee, I wonder if he and his associates can be sued in civil court after his term (180 days). If he is sued in any one or all of the states, he will be spending all his time in court. Presidential pardons won’t matter and Trump will throw him under the bus anyway. As privacy is a big issue for individuals, these lawsuits might mean large payouts if they are in a trial by jury.
