Hi Janet, I have a question fellow KZbinr. I'm having such an issue cleaning my brush after using the Pentart solvent based gloss varnish. I've been using mineral spirits and also tried paint thinner. Neither of which do what I would call a great job. What are you using and are you having success? Hoping you have a secret that I don't know about 🙏 I've used other solvent based varnishes and have never had a problem. It's just the Pentart. Even when my brush is somewhat clean, it's still sticky...ugh... 🤦‍♀

I had the same issue until I relented and bought Pentart’s little jar of turpentine. You can also use it to remove any paste that is too dark, the same way you use clear wax as an eraser with dark wax. Warning…the solvent cleaner has a lingering odor. 😬🤷‍♀️

😍Your work is so beautiful! In real time, how long did it take to complete this egg?

Thank you! I’m never very good at keeping track of time; I usually have a couple of projects going at once so that while something is drying I can work on the other one. I would guess about 8 hours excluding drying time for things. I worked on it off and on over the course of four days.
