I love that when you make an aged looking background you also make the image or words aged as well. I’ve found that when I see items that look aged with crisp, brand new looking wording or when the image or wording isn’t sized properly for the piece it drives me crazy. Maybe it’s the perfectionist in me? It just doesn’t look right. It takes work and patience to recreate an aged looking piece but it’s so worth it.

I had Halloween Parties for my girls and their friends starting in middle school until they graduated high school. We have tons of cool decorations, fog machines, and outdoor and yard decor. Now we celebrate with our Granddaughter. Love all your "spooky" creations and can't wait to see what you do when Halloween approaches! Great job 😊

I’m a coffee drinker! 1 cup in the morning and then 1 cup in the afternoon, French roast is my favorite ❤️…I’m about to shop for Falloween ribbon ….I think my favorite craft today is the hocus pocus …. I’m a HUGE Hocus Pocus fan ….. All of these turned out so adorable…..September 1st I put all my Falloween decor up until Oct 31st….Fall is my favorite season, even though here in TX it doesn’t cool down till November 🥵, but I’m already crafting and getting my things ready, it takes my mind off the heat . @@Montanafelines Sometimes, when they don’t have what you are looking for, you can get inspired by something else they DO have. The techniques can be used in a lot of different ways, and ideas can come from the most unexpected things. I wouldn’t take it as a failure…but more like an opportunity to visualize what you can do with things they have at the moment. Halloween stuff is just starting to arrive now.🖤🇨🇦

Using a heat gun on acrylic paint releases some off gases that aren't good to inhale. An air mover like a pedistal fan on high or a cool setting of a hair dryer is better for you. I paint pictures on canvases and canvas panels. A lot of the time I'm impatient for my paintings to dry. Layers can be a pain to get through between drying times. I'm still learning to be patient! Anyway I understand the urgency due to time crunches or responsibilities. This is just an FYI safety thing. A mask would help protect you if you still use the heat gun. Don't sacrifice your health for art or crafting. ❤
