I have a unique name, but let me tell you the downfalls: If you ever want a mug or keychain or whatever with your name on it, that's not gonna happen. Also, people will almost always spell and/or pronounce your name wrong. Finally, if you pick a name that's close to another common name, you might get addressed by that. Like with my name; its SUPER CLOSE to 'Brian', so when I get mail, it comes as 'Brian Larson'... But, over all it's really fun to have people comment on your name, I've always gotten good comments. So go for a unique name, but just know that pros and cons beforehand.
