I have met many IAS Officers who have not impressed me. One short interview with a person is not enough to make a good judgement. Sadly only 5-10% of the officers go out of their way to make real change in the society. I have worked with some officers so can say that.

My personal experience with reading the newspaper in the morning goes drastic as it has so much negative news and you can't ignore them. Now someone will come who will feel offended and start giving lectures that no…you were reading the paper in the wrong way and blah blah…but this is a very simple thing that it affects you whether you are reading that negative news or not…because ultimately you have newspaper and you can only avoid that news by reading that…

Biggest problem with most govt officers is they are extremely rude to the general public yet hypocritically so humble in front of the camera. The reason for this, according to me, is the fact that they are incompetent for that responsibility, they don't know how to carry out the job, so the rudeness is their defense mechanism to protect themselves from scrutiny.😢
