That’s the most wind-resistant roof design possible. Hipped roofs are spec’d for hurricane areas - some are rated for Cat 5.

If it was 30'x30' (900 sq.ft) that would be livable full time 20' square at 400 sq.ft is a bit too cozy for full time living. I am surprised they do not have a small wind turbine on the roof or solar panels for electricity. I love the fact that it is built of rugged steel, there is a similar fire tower home in Oregon that is 40' tall, but it has wood posts and bracing and it had to have four guy wires to keep it firmly on the top of the mountain.

I love it, but I just feel like fire watch towers like this waste a lot of the empty space in the lower part of the tower. Surely you could create 2 more levels out of that space.

I like your videos but I think it would be more entertaining if it wasn’t just all voice over. I want to see you walking around and talking while you are using things or more of a pov type of shots. Like the voiceover is cool but make it more personal so I think I’m watching you and not listening to a podcast.

I agree. A full house tour is really helpful. It would have been good to see the utility structure and also the tape deck. You never know what viewers want to nerd out about. I watched the whole thing specifically to see those two elements in greater detail!
