7:59 That's actually how the hips come in the package, since it comes in combined form For some reason though the instructions tell you to keep Hungurr's thighs straight. Which not only causes your stability problems, but also makes the hips too slender. Its also the standard way that thighs are arranged in G1 combiners.

simple technique to avoid hurting yourself with this (apart from first time combining him)....when you get it all assembled leave it alone and never take it apart again.....afterall what's the piont of getting this,or any combiner,if its not going to be displayed combined.☺

+AoiKaze2000 Funny as I wanted to type the same thing. :) Yes, I do think Feral Rex is maybe the best 3p product out there for those reasons and therefore should be a school example how to create 3p Transformers in terms of quality, design and fun. That said I do acknowledge all the problems designers meet when trying to create a tv-accurate Menasor for instance - for that Predaking is seemingly a lot easier.

the problem with TV accuracy for **ANYTHING** is that the TV models aren't that great to work from because they can cheat and not be punished for it (ie: Megatron). Speaking of Menasor, I hope that FansProject will do a reissue of him, as he's actually not that bad looking, assuming you don't mind the partsforming of Diesel, that is.

Darkmount Reviews I know, while it did do the TV leg cheat (where the legs are basically Diesel's with cars as shin guards), it looked like it handled the parts forming amazingly well. Like I said, I'd like to get a reissue of that mold, as I never got it the first time around =(

The ratchet joint on one of the combiner leg ports snapped on mine, but thanks to Hagen, he came with replacement ratchet joints, so I managed to unscrew the leg with the broken ratchet joint and put a replacement ratchet joint in and managed to screw the leg back together

10:30 There's a difference between a figure being complex and it being so stupidly tight and "sharp" that it hurts. Here, it's obvious that some of the transformation joints are just too tight without any sort of given leverage to grab onto them comfortably. Plenty of complex figures exist that don't have that sort of problem. If most third parties have the problem you claim, then it's the construction of the figures, not the engineering.

You know what would fix that problem with the hips? *RUBBER HEELS* just like on the stunticons which, might I add, are my favorite 3rd party combiner to date. People will throw comments about him being short, etc, but he's never failed me in sturdiness, appearance, and god damn is he ever just awesome.
