Did she say she’s not monitoring engine temps and pressures during start up because the A350 will do it for you during auto start? That’s not by the FCOM in any sense.

@@kanhasharma07 and here’s our winner. The keyboard guru that just wants to post something argumentative. Engine startup must be monitored by the crew. EGT, compressor PSI, N1 and N2 rotations are all monitored. This way should the engine perform outside of expected parameters it can be shut down.

@@MaxRank I don't believe I suggested that, what I said was the FADEC monitors the full engine start and will intervene as necessary. The FCOM and the FCTM state to leave the start sequence alone and let it do it's thing. the FCOM also states that there is no need to announce engine parameters which I think is what the crew in this video are referring to

Why did the rate of climb vary so much? Noticed that it shifted between 2000 Ft/Min and < 1000 frequently.

Mainly due to accelerations. To speed up they need to climb less ... plus atmospheric changes lead to changes in the vertical speed. The aircraft will hold a set speed (or accelerate or decelerate towards it) so the vertical speed is a product of that

PERFECT - the ONE time a split screen really made sense - the majority are so annoying - IMO - and I choose not to watch your split screen channel releases (about 80% of your releases) - I get it they are liked lol..... It may sound like that in this clip, but if you watch the version of the same takeoff, but with the camera showing the full flight deck, it’s just their SOP. Captain taxis onto the runway then hands control to the FO, who then states “take off” and stands the thrust levers up. FO then gives the thrust levers back to the captain, who sets power, but FO retains the PF role. Looks to me like quite a clunky SOP, but seen in full context it makes more sense. That said, it’s not the way I’d design the SOP.
