you may not need water. I removed the remaining glue. To avoid this, make the hole in the glue larger. Then the thread is well saturated with glue. 😀

I think pulling the string through the glue bottle is genius. I will add a little foam sponge to the outside hole to help remove some of the excess before gluing down on the surface. Might help prevent even more unwanted glue.

Maybe its much faster if you soak the strings with glue then crisscrossing it to the board. No more cleaning needed. Just saying but still looks good

You could use an aerosol glue. Criss-cross first,then spray.

Spray adhesive and black yarn would speed this up

Spray adhesive will be so messy and will not coat the yarn well which will make it stiff when dry. And even if you use black yarn, the translucent dried glue will dull the appearance of a black yarn. This is an efficient idea.

That bottle is the glue bottle..... V need to coat the whole thread with glue while winding, this is the least messy way to do it.... A brilliant idea, pass the thread through the glue bottle itself
