I have never been a fan of square cars from ANY era, but this one sort of grows on you, and it's somehow not quite as over the top as its GM and Chrysler competitors.

Very Nice And I like the 4 Door ❤

Sharp car! Love the that two tone of white and brown and those wheels with the regular white wall radials and the skirts. I'd remove those peep style mirrors. The car already has the iconic and classic fender mounted ones.

This is my all time favorite body style that Ford made. And I love a Continental Kit. You can class up a Yugo with one of those.

Ford never referred to the Galaxie as a "Fairlane 500 Galaxie", just GALAXIE. The model that WAS advertised as the Fairlane 500 had a different roof and a different rear window. I am old enough to know, so don't try to argue with me.

My grandfather had one with the different rear window (wrap around type) so the Fairlane 500 must have been the trim level just below Galaxie.
@jamesbosworth4191 Жыл бұрын
@@highgate4767 Yes, but they both were just as nice. Below your grandfather's Ford, there was a base Fairlane, which didn't have the aluminum insert in the side trim, and at the bottom, was the Custom 300, which had a single chrome strip, rather than double, and didn't have the V-like trim on the tail panel, but had three chevrons on the rear quarters.

"I am old enough to know, so don't try to argue with me." What you get with a line like that nowadays is "OK Boomer." Just respond, "No problem, Tide Pod."

@@BegoneJonah I, a Boomer myself, agree with him. Ford never referred to the Galaxie as a Fairlane 500, and I too have pointed that out to people. Snotty-nosed kids try to argue about that, even though they weren't even in their Daddy's ---- when the car was new.
