This is confirmation. I pray a prayer of repentance daily of sins previously confessed- I know the sin is absolved, but I don't want to fall back into them, so the prayer keeps me on track. Now I know it is the desire God seeks, because I know I am unworthy, but in His mercy he forgives me again.

That's so wonderful. Thank you for such an amazing interpretation. Im currently reading this book, and I find it so profound. Your shared wisdom, interpreting St. Catherine of Sienna helps to understand God’s paths to our hearts. I love the phrase "cell of knowledge " we have milion cells in our body, just tells us how much we can learn, there is never ending to our faith journey, no matter how old we are or many degrees we have, we continue our learning journey right till the end of earthly life.

How do I know when he shows up? I read, then listen, talk to Jesus about what I’ve read and I think about it and How I’m acting on it or not. think a bit about what I’m reading and how that applies to me but I don’t hear anything. I read this chap over and realized just now I need to STAY on this first or I think 2nd chapter. He was talking about Love and sincere desire. I’m there. But I still don’t have the grace of love of God as much as I have survial fear. [spell check on that]

How does one love what one does not know? In Hebrew there is the word "agapatho" (sp?) It's one of 4 kinds of love - a commitment kind of love. A decision. Learning of that gave me hope. I can make a decision and a commitment. But love here is so different. We see it, touch it, feel it based on this physical plane. I don't know how to "love" that which I fear...that which I can't see or touch... just respect and fear, due to a whole lifetime of sins!. Sins, many I'm sure, I don't even know I've committed! It's is despairing. We can't earn our way to heaven. And it's hard to know how God speaks to us. There's no way to know if our remorse, regret and vow to improve is ever enough. I feel so exhaustibly flawed. I commit even the same sins again and again in new ways! Ego... it's always a challenge. This world is so fallen. Whew.
@Timblisi4 күн бұрын
Don't do that to yourself. Don't let yourself look at God as a cause for despair. If you're seeing something about God as cause for despair, then there's something you're missing or looking at incorrectly. Take it as a sign there's something you're not seeing right.
@louiseniro44014 күн бұрын
Janice I don't know if this will be useful for you but in my case I remind the Father that it seems to me I have no love in me but I want to love Him so I will do so with the love of Jesus. Then I ask Jesus to pray with me and offer the Father His perfect love on my behalf since I have no love or virtue of my own to offer. This helps .
@melissazimich97723 күн бұрын
You missed the part of How it's only God who can redeem us, He Has! Believe and count it so. He only asks that we be sorry for offending Him and Begin to Love Him with all our hearts, He will give us His Love to Love Him with, but you must desire Him. He has set us free, take His freedom and great suffering of Love for you, and give Him back gratitude, Love Adoration, thankfulness
