Excessive intake of carbohydrates: 1) It leads to heart diseases 2) excessive carbohydrate converted into fat and this fat deposit in adipose tissue which lead to obesity 3) excessive carbohydrate causes dental caries and tooth decay

In case of deficiency of carbohydrate: 1) Incomplete oxidation of fat 2) It leads to PEM 3) severe deficiency of energy because it provide energy which is store in the form of glycogen
