Well hey there, Elena! I'm so delighted to realize that you're going on this extremely course in spite of everything! How's your life, family? Honestly, there's no words to express my gratitude to you personally 'n' surely, to your wonderful channel as well! I'd like you to go over this playlist for Advanced students completely 'cause as I've already mentioned above, you're so good at this, I do like your teaching method, your speaking manner and so on! Even a tone of your soft voice helps me pacify and internalize a material with flying colours (idiom means to do smth with ease, very simply). Best wishes! With any luck! May your roads always be smooth 'n' your burdens always be light! (idiom, we often use this) Sincerely yours, Dave (from Honolulu).

Hi, Dave! Thanks for your kind words. If I were single looking for a husband, I'd consider that you might be my suitor))) But I still appreciate your flattering compliments. That's fantastic! I have some difficulties now. Nothong horrible, but it's disturbing. I'll manage with it, it's going to be all right. I just need some time. In spite of all obstacles, I should continue my work.
@davesmith6436
@davesmith6436 3 жыл бұрын
@@ok-english Sorry, Elena I wouldn't want to embarrass you at all but I did like your phrase about me as a groom so much (suitor), I sincerely smiled at that! Surely, I'm not gonna making you blush, no worries! But you're partially right, I'm thirty four 'n' I'm actually single now. Besides, I've got two sons, both of them are toddlers yet. That's a main reason why I pay attention to some kind of attractive girls 'n' beautiful women as well, don't I? I mostly love watching girls' channels 'cause... frankly speaking, I lack of their attention for the time being.. (oh my word, what am I saying?!)..Oops!.. Stop talking!!! Anyway, when I ran across your channels especially for Intermediate 'n' Advanced levels a one day I understood immediately that it's what I was looking for so long to improve my grammar and get back to basic one more time! It's never superfluous, isn't it? And as I've said earlier, your teaching approach suits me completely, I'm totally satisfied with my results, my progress is getting better the lesson by lesson, and that's great, of course! Everything is due to you, lovely Elena! God blesses you! So, now about something else. How do you presume, Elena what's the reason your students like leaving comments only in Russian? When I try to read something I figure out them barely but I'm as an exception, so good. Why does almost everyone write here in Russian, what do you personally think? Nevertheless, I realize that you're russian girl and maybe, the most people who watch your lessons are russian ones too, I understand it very well. But it seems to me that if some person is learning foreign language to know it well, he just needs to use it in his daily life, practicing it in conversations, messages and so on. As I think, in order to know English well, like a native, for instance, you just gotta immerse into it, it must around you everywhere, mustn't it? So, it's just my opinion, no more but I'd like to see more those your students here who could leave comments in English. It'd be much better for your motivation, wouldn't it? I'd like to tell you one more thing. When I usually watch your videos I always set up English subtitles there for myself. The common fact is that I hardly know Russian, I almost forgot Russian language already despite the fact I used to live there when I was a little boy with my family. we lived in Nakhabino (it's a Moscow region) and you? What city or a small town do you live now, Elena? I'd just like to know it, no more. What's the weather you have there? Here in the Honolulu the weather is almost always hot 'n' sweltering although it's been a light tropical rain today this morning. And now there's no clouds and the temperature is thirty three above zero, of course. The scorching 'n' dazzling sun is shining everywhere! However, fortunately, strong rains, thunders and other hurricanes happen rarely. Well, aren't you worn out reading my story? I sincerely hope you're not! I wanna ask you, Elena. Can I send some of my photos directly into your e-mail box? They're about the nature, my house, city, about my cars as well. Well, if you're interested in this, I'll do it at once. I suppose that you've never been to Hawaii and it might be so interesting for you, right? Let me know about that here ASAP and surely, thanks so much for your feedback from the bottom of my heart! See you soon!

@@davesmith6436 Hi, Dave. Of course, I don't mind if you send me some of your photos. I've never been to Hawayii, I saw it only in movies. Looks like a paradise to me) I'm from Odessa. It's by the Black sea. "Ах, Одесса, жемчужина у моря")). We have a nice climate here. Today we have snow. But it's not typical. Last year we had no snow at all. My boring neighbouhood looks gorgeous today! It's not for long though. Snow melts very quiclky in Odessa. Speaking about family. I have two children myself. My daughter is a teenager, my son is eight. I'm happy to be a mother of a son and a daughter. It makes me a very happy woman. I guess it's one of the reasons why it's easy for me to communicate with men. I don't expect from them something special, so I can throw away all that 'stuff' and enjoy our communication. I have a husband who can give me everything I want. And I have kids. They all make me complete and give me the sense of satisfaction. I think it's a great idea for you to communicate with women *for fun*. Because thus you will be able to understand them better. And one day you'll find the one. If you need her, of course.

@@ok-english You're definitely happy woman, it's obviously! I always like your shining smile and soft 'n' pleasant voice! I was just curious about where you're from. It's Odessa, right? I knew it, there's a Black Sea nearby, isn't this? I haven't been there but my grandparents spent their childhood in Sochi, it's on the other side of the coast, as far as I can remember it. My first elder son (Brandon) is four and the second younger one (Will) is six now but my ex-wife (Vanessa) left them at home here and she moved to US (main continent) for the work stuff. She has her own cosmetic business, I also helped her a lot when she was setting up her companies. Did you hear or probably use "Maybelline" production? So, It's hers. And she also has airlines firms around the world but not all of them belong to her completely, she has some financial assets in them. Have you heard about such "monsters" as "Gulf Air", "Qantas", "Singapore Airlines", "Etihad Airways"? All of them belong to her, though partially. Good, thank you for the agreement you confirmed to me! May I send my photos and small letter by the evening tomorrow? I just need some time so that to choose luckiest and breathtaking pictures. Let's meet up tomorrow, right? I'll see you in there! Lots of love!

@@davesmith6436 Hello, Dave 1) That's right, Odessa and Sochi are both located on the Black Sea. I've never been to Sochi though. I guess it's not so different from Odessa. 2) Your ex-wife seems like a sucessful woman. I wonder how come you never took part in the business? I know that mostly men are business launchers. And usually it's family business and family ssets. But if you have no need to worry about money, that's nice. I heard something about Maybelline, I saw ads on TV. But there are a lot of things advertised there with agressive marketing. I think about 10 years ago Maybelline was advertised a lot. If we are talking about the same company. 3) I heard only about Singapore airlines. Other companies don't fly in my country. When I was in Paris, I saw so many unfamiliar names of airlines in the airport. Well, recently almost nothing flies here(( We have a big international airport in my city that is deserted now. What a shame, so much money spent on reconstruction and in vain(( Ok, see you later, bye)

Вспомнила случай с кратким предложением I want to.

А вот интересно почему : Does she study better? Почему не learn? Ведь study используют все таки при обозначении места учебы. Грамматически верно ли сказать does she learn better?

Обычно говорят learn + что-то. А study может указываться без конкретного учебного предмета, как здесь.
