Can you please do a step-by-step guide on how to micro control units ? I don't quite understand how did you pull off that 4 vindicators separately bomb 3 enemies move. (I know you said using F1 and stuff) I tried searching it on Internet but can't seem to find a control guide.

2:12 Two of those vindies were assigned to group 4, the other two were group 5. The inputs I pressed were as follows: 4 - right click on VX - 5 - right click on 1st Tengu - F1 - F1 - right click on 2nd Tengu What happened was, the two vindies from group 5 were both heading to one Tengu. By double tapping F1 with the entire group selected, I singled out one of the group 5 vindicators to attack a different Tengu

@@cardiv5zuikaku944 if you need help 1 year later, use Empire. Spam tengus for anti-air, take one of the ground idiots by taking all your future tanks and riot-beaming spectrum towers. For Giles, use VX - tengu combo. Take out his two airbases, then focus on the ground general number 2. For defense, use Future tanks, for offense, leftover VX's should be fine

i loved the vindicators as a kid playing this game, i would sometimes get 16 of them and destroy a construction yard in one bombing run. I never split bombs or any of that back then, but i still thought they were super cool cause wow planes

8:40 Leeeet's just take as cannon following situation: All Allied units except Peacekeeper and Tanya were on holidays. They drank too much and went to the "drunk sleep" state. When they were called for work - they in drunk state went to wrong vehicles and everything went completely wrong: Athena's driver now pilots Vindicator, Vindicator's pilot was forced to play as TF2 spy in RA3 universe, Javelin Trooper dropped his Baseball hobby and went to Aircraft carrier... Guardian Tank's, Hydrofoil's, IFV's, Cryocopter's, Riptide's, Aircraft Carrier's and Assault Destroyer's drivers somehow got multiplied (probably secter Allied technology (!)) and multiple people were sitting in everything... Engineer and Javelin Trooper as former humans are just possessed to have multiple voices Oh, and Mirage tank. He's still drunk and he has no idea what he's saying, bruh)) Actually, everything was fixed for Ru and Eng Allied Voice comparison, so just watch it just to make it happy, so i wouldn't think that i've spent my hours of sorting into nothing)) Also for full unit Ru and Eng voice comparions - on my channel i have several videos. Next after Tesla Trooper is Imperial Collector, so you can wait till its release))

When you LOVE Allies but you suck at controlling one of their most important units. I feel like properly using Vindicators is the hardest part of playing any faction in RA3.

It is such a simple concept ever since the dawn of command and conquer genre , an airplane designated for bombing run and have to re-arm at airport after every strike but somehow i feel the vindicator in RA3 is very oppressive and basically when pair up with Apollo they can address every threat ....

They are oppressive because they are the only plane of its kind in the game. Twinblades are strong but VX'es (and Sea-Wings, I guess) are somewhat the same. Apollo, MiGs, and Tengus are somewhat the same. Centuries and Kirovs are somewhat the same if you squint real hard. The Vindicator is the _only_ early game bomber in RA3 and the CryocOPter is the _only_ support copter in the game. It's really telling that the two most OP units in the game are the ones that the other factions have no equivalents of.

@@korayven9255 this has nothing to do with similarity. Just the sheer power and ease of use. They would've been far less powerful if MiG or Tengu could counter them. But nope. Apollos are stronger and faster than both MiG and Tengu. That means they can control the engagement rules and clear the air for Vindicators and Cryocopters to do their dirty work. Heck, even Kirov would've become OP if it was available as early as Vindicators and had a very strong fighter to establish air superiourity.

@@vantuz8264 Even if Tengus and Apollos were to somehow swap factions, Vindicators and Cryos will still be powerful tools in the Allied arsenal that can and will oppress if given an opportunity. Because the roles they fill are so potent (early highly mobile, high-burst damage and highly mobile support, respectively) and because they are the _only_ units in the game that fill those roles, they'd have to be absolutely awful not to see widespread use. Even in a vacuum, giving just one faction a monopoly on these two roles would have made them a dominant force if they were even remotely good.

That's because how ridiculously strong these units are. Let's say soviets get a helicopter that gives one ally 10% damage reduction. Does it stack for one? If it can, up to how much? Can it hit air units like the Twinblade and Kirov? How about buildings and base defenses? What thresholds would it alter when used on their Ore Collector, with and without armor?

Russian vindicator has Athena's quotes. That's actually interesting... Imagine if vindies would have lazer rays directly below them instead of bombs... So one vindie would be able to take out a line of infantry/tanks. And 4 would immediately destroy your base with just flying above...

The fact hat Ru Vindicator has Athena's quotes is because of Localisator's oversight which they did while sending what they've done for RU localisation. On XYHC's channel there's voice comparison with matched quotes and on my channel - full video with almost all quotes given to their origins

Excellent video- thanks! Can you please let me know if there is an easier way to add back new units into a specific attack group? What I mean is that if I, say, build 8 Vindicators and split them into 2 groups of 4 units, then if I start taking losses then lets say one of the groups reduces to 3 units. I build another unit to replace it, but then once it's built I have to find the smaller group and then shift-select and then control-number to reassign the group. It seems a very intensive task, and if I build 12 units or more and I start taking a few losses on the bombing runs, building more replacement units and adding them back into the group needing replacements... it gets a bit overwhelming to manage this! Any hints? Cheers.

you can select the unit then hit the group number while holding down shift (to add the new vindie to your selection of the other 3 vindies). Or the other way around. Then you can reassign the group number while those 4 vindicators are selected

Allies' units and abilities are either flat out better than their counterparts (dog, peacekeepr, javelin, apollo, turrets) or have some special use that allows them to easily turn the battle around (spy, guardian, assault ship, carrier, athena cannon, hydrofoil, freeze ability, chronosphere)

As Empire: Go Mecha Bay right away if you saw a 2nd Vindicator. Only make 1 Turret after scouting fast Air - Don't get another turret until you confirm it's into Tier 2. As Soviets: Switching things up: You go get 2-3 Barracks to spam Conscripts until you have enough Bullfrogs out; You can cue up a Flak Turret for Bullfrogs / Flak Troopers as shown in video
