1. Great content! 2. My opinion, CMON is putting out variety of units. I like the variety & fun of different units , even though everything isn't designed to be in tournaments. Many times it just fun & flexible. 3. I'm definitely getting Stone Crows & Winterfell Guard. 4. So enjoying when yall talk about the various attachments & how effective they can be. 5. I immediately thought of the Sworn Sword Captain when looking at the Winterfell Guardians. The trade off with Rickard Karstark can be discussed I think. Which is more valuable when attacking a 3+ Def unit. Re-Rolls + Vulnerable or Sundering with Crit Blow. Can somebody do the math on that? What I like about this unit too is that they play along great with Northern Ferocity as well as Winters Might.

Stone Crows have tons of value in Lannisters for one huge reason you already mentioned: neutral allotment. Pycel is a worse Shae, Varys is arguably still the best NCU in the game, Baelish still has value if you're playing a zone control strategy, Roose NCU brings Panic tokens, if you want to run Jokin (c) you're absolutely bringing Stormcrow Archers, some people are putting Gregor in Cutthroats in their Gregor lists. These all eat up neutral points where having an in-faction 5 point unit for Tyrion becomes a phenomenal tool; an in-faction 5 point unit that is better than Poor Fellows, I might add. Yeah, if you're not concerned with the neutral allotment, then Stormcrow Mercs are naturally going to be the sturdier unit for Tyrion, but that is the balancing factor between the two units. You're losing probably a quarter of a point of value with the Stone Crows and exchanging that quality for the flexibility in list building of them being in-faction.

The redundancy problem you mentioned for the guardians, in my opinion, is a problem radicated in the faction! tactics cards and stark units are often redundant and dont give enough options imho

I would say, there is always a slot for a seven point unit even with Tully Cav. As you well said adaptive is hugeeee. I will take Rob 6 move enhanced mobilty and go

I totally agree that "the highest Attack die" is really not necessary. When I first saw the text I was really hyped about. I hoped for something like Queensmen version for the Guards only aggressive. "Saying if you control swords weaken tokens can´t be spent." Now its just okay... but still will buy the unit. And I beg CMON to stop producing Stark units !!!! If not I won´t be able to get all Stark units painted.😅

A good choice would be Winterfell champion + Berserkers (9 dice on critical blow + protection of the first rank)

Tully cav are only OP because of winterfell guardian in addition to healing themselves already. Healing 2 with 5+ morale is strong. All they got to do is make it so they cant heal themselves. So they heal 1 with winterfell instead.

Boltons don't need any new units. They are a mini faction and now have neutrals opened up to bring in the thematic Bloody Mummers. They're missing a House Frey alliance

Let us get the “Ghiscari Empire”!!!! Think of all the units from Meereen, Yunkai, Astapor, New Ghis, allied with the greatest city Qarth, a plethora of sell swords companies. Potentially neutral Dothraki unit. It’s full of fluff. And kinda “gives the Targaryen faction an opponent in the game that they actually deal with in the books”. By extension, and this probably depends on the politics expanded on by George. The Free Cities!! Now hear me out. I know CMON released the Lys neutral pirates. And saw talks of releasing the rest of the “triarchy” of myr and tyrosh as neutrals. No problem keep em coming. So that’s ok, Norvos I should think, be released with the Martels so on and so forth. Pentos is essentially allied with Targaryen, and their city relies on Dothraki, so that tracks. On to my point. What if we had a “Free City Faction Box” the Baratheon Loyalty. Boom!!. Bravos and Volantis as being the two factions!! Come on (CMON) this would be dope. In addition to the potential free city neutrals mentioned above, they can have an alternate card when army building in this dedicated box, to have different loyalties to Bravos and Volantis. Lorath Is loyal to the Bravos, as well as pentos( if you know you history). The triarchy would have “loyalties” to Volantis. Qohor (special Unsullied and sorcerers) and Norvos could be shifting loyalties. For the loyalties it does not have to be exactly as I suggeste, but something in this direction. It would tie in perfectly with the politics of Slavers bay. Bravos and Targs being anti slaves Volantis and Ghiscari being Pro. Of course this can only get better assuming The Books elaborates more on these foreshadowed conflicts between Essos Factions. I am new to Miniature war gaming. But I love the world of asoiaf from the books. And I already invested in many factions and intend to learn and play the game, but I would like to collect a game that is complete work in honor of the source. One of the many things i like about this game is it’s seemingly committed to the lore. I would like to add my two cents to the cause. I don’t usually leave comments on KZbin videos, and my apologies on not sticking to the topic of the video (by the way great video guys please keep making more. Videos are scarce right now as far as I see), but I haven’t seen these factions get suggested by anyone online. Doesn’t mean it hasn’t, so just know I’m going off my love of the lore. If this is something already talked about, understand when it comes to online presence I live under a rock and usually I usually get to the party late. I just want to make sure it’s in the ether.

Vanguard won’t turn off enemy lances. They don’t target the unit being attacked. The Vanguard’s order is garbage and their stats are even worse.

Why wouldn’t it. Start of Any Turn it will target a friendly unit and this unit can’t be the target of enemy effects or abilities. Lances is a Melee ability.

@@HitsAndCrits Because melee abilities don’t target anything, they are just “on”Targeting is SIF is a specific game mechanic that usually (but not always) requires the word “target” in the game text, and honestly targeting in the game is a clusterfuck of obscure rules. However, losing the lance ability would require the text to say “loses all or x ability” like some of the effects in the game already do.

Targeting issues in this game would be resolved if CMON literally just stated right at the start of an Action or somewhere "Target X or Y" or something so plainly written that there is no ambiguity. Rather than just kinda having some that clearly state it and others you have to infer.

What is Free Folk doing having a cav horse unit anyway? I'm glad they suck. All these factions are human, the less they resemble like each other the better. Free Folk shouldn't have their version of Stark Outriders.
