In order to make the magnitude of the vector to become 1, so you have to devide the component of the vector with the magnitude of the vector

yes, in order to get a unit vector magnitude of 1, you must divide the coordinates by the original vector's magnitude, therefore outputting a magnitude of 1, which is what we are after
