In his defense, the government of Canada prohibits it's citizens from owning firearms, which is a basic human right for self defense. If you live in the U.S.A., thank our founding father's for instituting into our laws the right to defend ourselves...we could easily be in a country like this poor guy cowering in fear for our lives. He gets all the proper voice inflictions down-pat, he clearly enunciates words and seems to intuitively know what the overall feelings and nuances were even at the time of that particular occurrence or incident. That one about the Klan actually made my blood boil, because their pastor is unfortunately right: Whether the story is true or false, there isn’t much that people like the narrator can do about them. Aside from mentioning his son by name, the rest of the KKK can say they trespassed unknowingly based on details, which means Stand Your Ground/Castle laws don’t apply. He also couldn’t shoot them just because of their group affiliation. Indiana was a huge HQ for the Klan back in the day, and there’s actually a thing here where security is provided based on the 1st Amendment for Klan rallies on public property so they can’t sue the local government authorities for damage done to them. No matter what, our protagonist would’ve been labeled a murderer in one instance and opened his family to even more danger in another instance. After all, even if some were arrested, you don’t know how big their circle is or how many sympathizers there are in your community. White supremacist groups are all horrible and I hate that so many people have to deal with them.

1st story theory- sillia's parents didn't worry because they knew what was going on. Behind the scenes was really a cult that sillias family (aka parents) were apart of- and the reason why they had so many animals was because they sacrificed them.
