Sounds of PW4090 engines, therefore 777-200ER. Non-ERs uses PW4077 that idles at a lower note.

+Taran Gill The IFE was okay. It's funny- I've heard a lot about their new system where you can link your own device with the on-board wifi, but because thee wifi was so intermittent it just didn't want to play ball. What I will say about the seat-back IFE is that because it was an older aircraft, it didn't have the updated Economy Plus seating. The screen was quite small and didn't have a handset to play games for example. But it served a purpose. The camera I used was just the basic camera on the iPhone 6! It's really good quality (well, when not zoomed in anyway), and captures the spool-up of the PW4090-3's beautifully I feel! Glad you enjoyed the video!

+Dominic Ward You recorded this on an iPhone!!? Omg!! Haha! Sounds stupid, but how were you holding the phone? Horizontally or vertically? It's just that I've tried to record takeoffs and held the phone vertically but the videos been cropped so it doesn't look right :/ I'm planning on flying to San Francisco next year, I've flown with United before but haven't experienced the personal entertainment device.. might give it a shot if the Wi-Fi plays ball haha

+Taran Gill I managed to get it to work on another flight I took whilst over in the US! Worked beautifully on my iPhone! The only problem I had was the flight was too short and my film got cut off for landing! As for the phone, it's the iPhone 6 held horizontally. I found that resting my elbow on the seat rest but making sure my arm is as straight as possible did the trick :)
