I know someone who flew quite often and happened to sit next to a lady who was hyperventilating because she could see the wings (flapping up and down). He had to explain to her that if the wings DIDNT do that, the plane would be in trouble.

Oh yeah, stiff wings is definitely not good at all compared to flexible wings.

Unfortunately they retired their last B747 in 2017. There are no US airlines operating the B747 commercially anymore.

You must be making a mileage run--DFW-DEN-LAX-IAH so far......Discrepancy in flight time--you say above 3hrs 13 min but the FA says 2hrs 25,perhaps wheels up to wheels down rather than gate to gate

And there is still IAH-DFW left. Also, it wasn't a milage run, I just bought the four flights for just $280 to fly the B757, for fun, and content. As for the times, 3 hours 13 minutes is what we actually did from gate to gate and the 2 hours 25 minutes wheels up to wheels down ended up being 2 hrs 45 mins. 😊
