Nice, objective review. Good point about ordering food from departing city. When I fly airlines that are not American I always order the cuisine of the airline's native country(i.e. Japanese menu on JAL or ANA.) I've found it to be much better than the "Western options" . Also, I've always received better cabin service from Asian airlines than U.S.based airlines. Their flight attendants seem to enjoy their jobs and provide friendly, warm and professional service. I could tell you some horror stories of being "barked at" by numerous United FA's on their trans-Pacific flights over the years. Whenever possible, I don't fly any U.S. based airlines internationally, it's just too unpleasant.

Thanks for your comment! I’m sorry to hear you’ve received this kind of treatment from the United FAs. It’s truly bizarre considering how much we pay for the tickets. It’s really not too much to expect some good service. Here’s to hoping they improve!
