इफिसियों ४:११-१२
उसने स्वयं ही कुछ को प्रेरित होने का वरदान दिया तो कुछ को नबी होने का तो कुछ को सुसमाचार के प्रचारक होने का तो कुछ को परमेश्वर के जनों की सुरक्षा और शिक्षा का।
मसीह ने उन्हें ये वरदान संत जनों की सेवा कार्य के हेतु तैयार करने को दिये ताकि हम जो मसीह की देह है, आत्मा में और दृढ़ हों।
Eph 4:11-12
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
प्रेरितों, नबी, पादरी, शिक्षक, प्रचारक, उनके चर्च के लिए उठे हुए मसीह के उपहार हैं उनके बीच कोई प्रतिद्वंद्विता नहीं होना चाहिए। प्रत्येक का अपना काम करना है, क्योंकि प्रत्येक पहिया में घड़ी का विशेष कार्य होता है कोई भी दूसरे का काम नहीं कर सकता, और किसी को भी ऐसा करने की कोशिश नहीं करनी चाहिए। प्रभु येशुआ कोनेका मुक्य पत्थर है; हम जोभी बंधे वो उसके उपर बंधे, उसके बिना नहीं|
प्रेरितों ने परमेश्वर के शहर की नींव रखी, और प्रत्येक का काम एक अलग पत्थर के द्वारा किया जाता है पादरी जमीन तैयार करता है और फसल के लिए बीज बोता है जो सुसमाचार प्रचारक काटता है; लेकिन ईश्वर उनके बीच इनाम अनुपात होगा। शिक्षक को सुसमाचार प्रचारक के रूप में उतना जरूरी है, परन्तु ईश्वर जितना जरूरी नहीं है, जो वृद्धि बढ़ाता है। बिना उसके सभी श्रम व्यर्थ हो जाएगा
Apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, are the gifts of the risen Christ to His Church. There should be no rivalry among them. Each has his own work to do, as each wheel in a watch has its special function. None can do the work of another, and none should try to do it. Jesus Christ is the main corner stone and whatever we build it should be on Him only.
The Apostles laid the foundations of the City of God, and the work of each is represented by a different stone. The pastor prepares the ground and sows the seed for the harvest which the evangelist reaps; but God will proportion the reward between them. The teacher is as much needed as the evangelist, but neither is so essential as God, who giveth the increase. Without that all labor would be in vain
