In the new 2202 one this couldnt be more untrue. The Andromeda would have won the little "clash" they had if not for Yamanami RESPECTING okita as much as he did. He just wanted to confirm that their TRULY like he was with that. The Andromeda Prototype version is easily able to handle the Yamato. The Upgraded Production version? Would just SLAUGHTER the Yamato. Yamato is the bearer of hope in the franchise, but sheer power? Andromeda class wins easily.

@@christianresel8051Ok, so you’re half right. In terms of sheer amount of weapons and firepower, Andromeda has her beat. However, while her guns have a faster fire rate, they are significantly smaller in caliber compared to Yamato’s, with Andromeda having 40cm guns opposed to Yamato’s 48cm. Not to mention, Yamato’s crew is much better trained for combat compared to the newer, less experienced crew of the EDF ships. But above all else, the one thing that Yamato has one thing other ships will never have: Smarts. Her crew always think outside the box, so regardless if you study the Yamato and her tactics, it’ll never matter cuz she isn’t predictable. You can be as advanced as you want. As long as the Yamato finds any sort of weakness or high ground, she will find a way to kill you. Now yes, they were fighting Yamanami, and I doubt he was going to destroy the Yamato by a long shot, if he absolutely had to terminate the vessel, it’s not gonna be a cakewalk for him. Hell, it’s not even guaranteed he’s gonna come out of that unscathed. Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk

@@dougdimmadome3694 i will also add, Andromeda's Wave Motion Gun is actually technically less powerful over all despite being twin barrelled, its a Dispersion type which means it designed to hit a large area where as Yamato's is a Direct strike it concentrates its energy into one area. Andromeda in overal capability is Superior than Yamato but is not directly more powerful, but one thing that can be said with out Andromeda Earth would have lost the Gatlantian War in 2202

andromeda is totally 2× bigger than the dreadnought all because the thing that were like ZZZ andromeda's attached with a Mars defense or red colored dreadnought charges above the Ark of dustruction

The Andromeda theme has definitely a US Navy feel to it.

@@quoniam426 especially the ship itself. its even longer than the yamato and uses 40cm shock cannons, which the montanas were planned to also use 40cm guns. the superstructure also looks near similar to an iowa/montana front structure (referring to the bridge)
