Flew UA's 787-10 (new livery) from BRU to ORD. GREAT aircraft with AMAZING comfort! Much more comfortable than UA's 777-300ER. Would definitely fly on again! Thanks for the trip report, FlightExperience!

Great report mate. Absolutely detailed and very helpful. Minor suggestion: would you mind review a bit more about the width of the seat (if you can, of course). Maybe give a number (measure it with a small tape measure or research it online) and your own opinion on it for the purpose of comparison. It will help us economy travellers even more. Same can be done to the other seat space as well if you can. Thanks a lot.

I was to book the Basic fare too, as I didn't require a checked bag. But then I saw the $44 to select a seat (each way), and opted for a standard fare. It was $30 more and I could select my seats. It also allows for a checked bag, of course.

I would've gone for the pasta. I flew on one of their transatlantic flights and chose the lasagna. As much as that would definitely not pass as a Polaris meal, it was definitely edible for me

Thank you! 1.Yes, you can purchase your seat anytime after the booking. 2. Yes, there are restrictions like the size and the weight but nobody cared about it on this flight. So it wasn't checked by any airline staff

I agree with you. Avoid United for trans-Atlantic or any route. There's always better airlines up there. To me, LH is the best for Trans-Atlantic and maybe inter-European routes. I know they don't deserve 5*, but LH is good and consistent.

I’m confused - you gave a high overall rating on your scale, but then said you didn’t like your United experience! I was thrilled when I was anticipating my first 787 flight; now I try to avoid it. The seats are way too small for me (6’2” 200 lbs, big but not overweight!), the legroom is awful, and I hate those windows, esp when they’re locked! I’ve recently flown United to London and Lufthansa to Frankfurt, and to be honest I thought United was good enough.

So if I am not mistaken, first you have to pay extra for a window seat (that's ok, almost all airlines do this) and when airborne, after the meal-service they dim the windows on a day-flight for almost the entire trip... WTF???? I would be pissed over this, seems to be a rip-off to me.

I have actually flown on UA998 w/ a #B772 back in 2016. It’s was quite good:) Perhaps SN’s service w/ their #A333 (a much older aircraft than the B78X) from BRU to JFK is much better than this service…. Thanks for the video!
