I wouldn't through the 4x4 frame away as its a favorite as hunting buggies goes. I wouldn't be afraid to do floor pans in the orange dead body. Be done done in two and a part days and the body mounts too. I know how weak the front body mounts are and how the body does the nose dive when gone but that piece that ties it together is so easy to fix that it would scare you. I have lost count on the ones I have done ... both on or off the frame. Since the wire feed has come in to our lives, life is very good
@UNITEDBYTRUCKS5 жыл бұрын
I hear ya, and I definitely won't be throwing away the 4x4 frame. It'll live on somewhere else. That said, I don't have time nor the desire to get into paint and body. No sir. I've answered this quite a few times and even in these threads. GM never called, designated, badged, or otherwise a 2wd blazer as a C5. That's a corvette. In fact, GM badged some 2wd blazers as k5s. The consistency of designations in trucks did not translate over to full-size blazers.

You need to center the rear axle. It looks like it a little to much the front of wheel well.
@UNITEDBYTRUCKS5 жыл бұрын
No doubt about it. If you watch the video, you'll know why its that way and our plan to address it.
@bear27475 жыл бұрын
why is the rear end sittin so far forward in the wheelwell?
@UNITEDBYTRUCKS5 жыл бұрын
If you watch the whole video, i discuss it multiple times. The 4 link isn't finished in the rear so when you move it it floats around under the blazer.

Does the k5 4x4 have the 2 low transfer case? If it does it is rare people pay good money for them I got a idea for a engine find a 350 bore it out to make a 383 long tube header mutha thumper camshaft roller rockers edlebrock carb electric ignition just a idea you might like

what I noticed that majority of time people don't think on checking and fixing the frame on a car or truck. mainly people would always go after the body sadly

The frame and chassis are the foundation of any truck for me. Gotta start there and work your way up.

wouldnt it be alot easier to just put 2wd front suspension on the 4wd frame?
@UNITEDBYTRUCKS5 жыл бұрын
Not what I'm trying to achieve. 4x4 frames and 2wd frames are different. And the 4x4 needs rear axle anyway. Plus I'm interested in having a factory 2wd blazer frame.
