What he did initially at Sporting was a matter of absolute necessity, there simply wasn't enough money to go around buying players, its a constraint that MU doesn't have and frankly shouldn't impose on itself. You can jump start to a team that's nearer his ideal much quicker, and there's already a lot of quality there. That said, if there's a young player that's up to the level of a main squad of a team like MU, which is a very very high bar, he will certainly call them.

Sporing Portugal has 2 ballon doire before RA, Luis Figo AND CR7, Portugal was European champion in 2016 with 12 players from the Sporting academy, it is a philosophy, an identity of the Club since always, RA took advantage of this existing talent for the squad, to be, loaned or sold as shown in the video Now we know the value of MU, also of its academy, of talent, but why have an academy if we don't take advantage of the players and spend millions on inferior players? I must warn, for Amorim to work properly under newly recruited hierarchy of Berrada-Ashworth-Wilcox, they better swiftly replace experienced seniors who will question high intensity methods. I still remember when Laurie Whitwell's report exposed how Casimero and Varane weren't keen on ten Hag's high intensity methods and press oriented approach to football, if this continues, it will only hinder his work.
