Irish clubs have limits on foreign-born. For example of a squad of 44 of Leinster. They have 4 foreign-born and nearly all now have citizenship. Most are local from Leinster schools. Super rugby has far more foreign-born players and New Zealand for example but no one talks about it . Irish rugby is punching above it's weight for a while now and I'm another that is proud

It was the Bulls versus Leinster, the referee, TMO, and ARs. The referee penalized Hanekom (1st half) and Kriel (2nd half) for legitimate steals. He let Joe McCarthy play Papier off the ball, right in front of him, and waived play on to obstruction by Leinster during that 20 phase segment in the 2nd half. Ben Whitehouse couldn't wait to alert the referee to Van Staden's off the ball tackle on Ross Byrne, yet was quiet as a church mouse when James Ryan put a late hit on Le Roux.

Leinster really are perennial chokers of late. For a team full of Ireland internationals who really don’t play very much domestically (Lowe for instance), and should be ultra fresh - they were shown up. Maybe the lack of week in, week out games is an issue when it comes to knockout form?

Just like ireland getting beyond a QF. It’s something deep rooted mentally and they need to address it. I think the last time they played (back in March?) Leinster beat the Bulls 47-14! And likely the Test players would have been away for the six nations. Very odd.

Leinster fan, Bulls fully deserved the win, the ref was extremely generous to our antics at the ruck Did think Lowe had a great game, easily our MotM and his boot got us out of trouble a few times. While the three European finals and URC semis have all been extremely close and we could have conceivably won all six, I think there is a common theme. We over-rotate through the season so our first team aren’t as cohesive as they should be and just aren’t as battle-hardened come the big games in April and May.

With the upmost respect this front row is 2 of the best front row youngsters South Africa has to offer and Wilco who has been outstanding. They should all be considered for the springboks. They did it against the actual Springbok bomb squad a few weeks ago outscrumming Ox Bongi and Koch who basically was the front row who won us the wc semi final. Those 3 work together great and can hold their own against any front row on current form including our Springbok front row. Great to have the depth. Rassie himself speaks highly of Steenekamp and Grobbellaar while Wilco should be in the discussions. But great for Springboks and awful for selectors having to decide between who to pick giving them headaches.

Leinster fan, thought the officials made mistakes on both sides (JGP’s head injury should’ve been checked) but overall Leinster were definitely favoured, McCarthy in particular lived on the edge a few times, especially the hit in the air. Overall the Bulls deserved to win and good luck to them - our arrogance in throwing the SA tour in April is what sent us to Pretoria and put us in this position. First off Bulls dominated the game and are deserved winners.Secondly Leinster had another wonderful season and fell short against a strong team. Thirdly the ref in this game should be ashamed of how he blew this match. Hope he goes and reflect on how not to blow a semi final game.

Sad to say, but this Referee was worse than any Bad and Crooked Referees I have ever seen in my 53 years. Worse than even Bryce Lawrence! How can anyone with any basic understanding of Rugby be this pathetic and ever be allowed to oversee any game - let alone a Semi-Final of a big Competition.

Wow… how hard did that Ref try to give the match result to Leinster…time after time he overlooks clear Leinster infringements, cynical play and outright penalties and just waves on play. So glad the Bulls won inspite of that Idiot blowing the whistle. I expected a Leinster win by 21 .. but the Bulls were great in overcoming a great Leinster team as well as a dishonest ref.
