I come from a family which among others has a great involvement in wrestling. India has a great wrestling tradition and recently Gama Butt displayed this without any ambiguity. The Gama family disintegrated and in the same period the wrestling tradition of India as well though never did it become extinct had its low. Many members of the Gama family like Jhara (who had a good capability) got no support from the Govt. of Pakistan and evolved into Noora wrestlers for entertainment. Dara Singh was also a fake wrestler and fought Noora Khusti for money. Both these if they had worked hard and had got support might have reached the level of Commonwealth Champions if not at the World champion level. Now thanks to Guru Hanuman, Kartar Singh, Guru Satpal, etc. the Indian wrestling tradition has revived itself and we have genuine world class wrestlers. Udit is surely one of these. Both the Japanese and Udit are very good wrestlers but the referee was partial to the Japanese. Also many wrestlers when they are tired and losing fake an injury to rest. The referees must judge when the injury is genuine. Udit surely had an edge over the Japanese. It is hoped that when India utilizes her talent in this great sport we could be the top most wrestling power pretty rapidly.

One mistake Udit has done is he tries to pass the last few seconds whereas the Japanese was trying to get few extra points in those last second. Definitely Udit is much more skillful but he needs to improve his mental toughness. Congratulations Japan, and a good learning for Udit.
