If you hibridize with West Slavic Heritage you can also Unite the West Slavs after Uniting the South Slavs but before you Unite the whole Slavs

I know that being a west Slavic king forms all the western lands into one big kingdom, and that being a west Slavic emperor of say Carpathia or Russia will make the western lands part of that empire. I know the south slavs decision requires you to have one of the Slavic kingdoms as your primary title to make a big kingdom. What I want to know is, could you be a southern king and emperor of Carpathia, and use the decision to make the southern lands de jure of Carpathia? If you could, that could allow you to combine the southern and western lands under Carpathia or Russia, and prevent those territories from potentially fracturing away upon succession. Even if you couldn't a big southern kingdom as your primary kingdom and Carpathia as your empire title should still allow you to absorb the west, and I don't think the southern lands are big enough to form the byzantine empire, that is, if the byzantine title was no longer around.

@@uncannybeagle7512 Western Slavs even if you are only King always will get you the Western Slavia Empire, you can't get all the land under one Big Kingdom like the Southern Slavs. On the other hand, yes, if you are already an Emperor the South Slavs lands will Become De Jure of that Empire.

@@estefanoespinozapiccoli7015 Oh you're right, I forgot that Galicia Vohlyina doesn't become part of the kingdom or empire(if foreign empire). Even still, that's a tiny empire to deal with, one that can solved with a kingdom war. So starting as a southern king, getting probably Carpathia, uniting south slavs, then uniting west slavs would probably be the best way to go. Even considering the minor inconvenience of Galicia Vohlyina.

Just realized I didn't elaborate, if you're Russia and unites the west slavs, you get everything except Galicia Vohlyina, it makes a kingdom sized empire. Which throws a wrench into things. I guess it makes sense because Galicia Vohlyina is part of west Slavia, but it doesn't become part of other empires either, even if they're west Slavic aside from west Slavia. They couldn't make one of the largest realms(Slavia) straightforward after all. But at the same Galicia Vohlyina is Russian so if you're Russia you should be able to absorb that.

I hope a Slavic update comes about soon to elaborate on the decisions, and maybe add a couple more. Slavia is huge and should probably deserve it's own add on, imagine a struggle system like fate of Iberia, but for Slavia. That would be an interesting dlc, especially since you can include the mongols in it. And maybe even a 13th warrior reference.

When you made the hybrid culture, I was yelling at my screen, take bellicose, you have to be South Slavic to unite the South Slavs. You can Unite the Slavs as an emperor, and if you take West Slavic heritage in a hybrid culture, you should be able to take the Unite the West Slavs decision too, since you have to control all the territory anyway.

39:18 An interesting Fact. if you would have started with the northern slavs you would have been able to form West-Slavia which is a De-jure empire title. I think they kind of worked it like like west-Slavia was supposed to vasssalize or create South-Slavia. So if you wanna keep the true roots of Slavia. I suggest you hybridize once more up north to the polish to get the option to form West-Slavia (De-jure Empire). and I think the polish would be ideal for you anyways because their unique cultural men-at-arms (Konni) would blend EXTREMELY (too good) well with your empire and those horse archers. and the best part is that "Konni" is a special Light Cav unit and often their buildings that increase light cav damage & other bonuses almost always if not always provide bonuses to horse archers as well. So with that being said you can create a true Cav force to be reckoned with if you just build up bonuses via any means you want on the already really good units. you will have a domain that no fool would dare trespass fulling of waves upon waves of devastating calvary. OH, and after you form the west-Slavic empire you can form Slavia(De-jure Empire) right after that which will give some nice bonuses back to back. ik this because I did it before, and it was quite a lovely experience. It was also fun because I managed to accomplish this in a multiplayer game. it was fun😁; I'd recommend you try it yourself.

Whenever I play in the Balkans I always grab Hill Dwellers and Mountain Homes for my divergent cultures, since those are the most common terrain types for the region and your core holdings. It supercharges your development once you start building hill farms and quarries.

Recognition of Talent is literally my FAVORITE cultural tradition, instead of a terrible opinion modifier for recruiting, you get a +50 opinion for recruiting prisoners and a strong hook is great for getting new knights, court positions, and even claims just from recruiting a prisoner, and if your prisoner is of a different faith the +50 opinion modifier will way outway the demanded conversion negative modifier, and AND if they end up leaving your court you can just use the strong hook to being them back, AND AND AND if you have golden obligations and any of the people you recruit get money in anyway possible, thats now YOUR money for the cost of nothing!

I’m loving this series! Recognition of Talent is such a good tradition, it’s probably my personal favorite. You get a strong hook for any pardon you grant, so if you pardon any rebellious vassals you not only get an opinion boost with them, but also a strong hook, so they can never rebel against you again unless you or they die.

You should utilize the Station Besiegers option more in wars. It frees your main army to hunt down the enemy while you still get to siege the territory you need. Not to mention you can carpet siege with it once you wipe out the enemy.

The 1st part not was one of my favourite video of yours but this one is a great one. Some suggestions: try to get the unlimited kingdom holy war cb cultural thing and just have fun painting the map. Also get a 3rd holy site and form your own religion and you will have no more heresy decision problems.

I can confirm that you do not need to stay a King in order to unite the Slavs. I did this campaign as Jarl Dyre “The Stranger”, converted to Russian culture, and formed the empire of Russia before uniting the Slavs.

My biggest issue is when I go to declare war and it tells me they have 4x the troops and so I call my allies. Well we only run into a 10 person army the entire war. But when I don't believe it I get squashed like a roach.

My Favourite way to Unite the South Slavs, is go form "Big Walachia". So, when you unite the South Slavs, if you have an Empire the Kingdoms become Dejure under your new Empire. But, if you are only a Kingdom, they become united under your Kingdom. So, if you play as the King of Walachia, you can Hybridize into Bulgarian; become South Slavic, and unite Bulgaria, Wallachia, Serbia, etc, all under Walachia. Because all Wallachian territory is considered a part of Carpethia, if you then annex Hungary, the resultant Empire is a Dejure Empire of Hungary and South Slavia, from which you can then extend your power. I did it as an Albino Tyrant, maximising as much natural dread as possible as the Impaler, and called it my Vlad Drakul run.

Actually it is not working that way. If you convert to your wife's faith you get 50% discount if I am correct (or something like that not full 100 for sure). You get this discount if you convert normally or using the way you mentioned.
