Gonna go ahead and put this in the comments because people don’t get the metric of measurement here. This is basing it off of peoples expectations, not exactly how they were on release. This is important to note for someone like VB. He wasn’t awful on release but his restrictions killed the unit in terms of hype and the expectations people had of the unit

Was gonna say lr Super 17 and Lr Omega were objectively good and in omega case great on release it’s just there absolutely terrible teams and no support made them useless to summon for. If LR Omega wasn’t restricted to gt bosses but just extreme class units he’d be indefinitely better. Super 17 got buffs later on with Android 21 release but at that point his kit aged out. Honestly think Dokkan should make some of these teams just F2P power houses like GT bosses and Saiyan saga as they’re not buffing the teams and fumbling their releases.

They were really good one release.... the vb part atleast. In their base forms, they were good defensively and could comfortably sit in slot 1 for 5 turns. And VB won you the fight with his offense

Zamasu was just better in every way. No health restriction, amazing turn 1 defense, damage was off the charts, and the domain was a crazy ability.

They get no defense stacking, they only get 100% defense for the first 4 turns alongside guard instead of having at the very least 40% dr, not to mention they get a higher chance to dodge if in slot 1, which paired with their poor defense, will force you to focus all your hidden potential points into dodge to make them viable long term which in turn goes against VB stats since he doesn't benefit from the extra dodge much compared to additional attack or crits, forcing you to rely on TEQ VB for the links not to mention the transformation conditions are all round terrible especially compared to zamasu who only suffered being named "fused zamasu" instead of fused zamasu (corrupt)" and could tank with ease off the bat and could rival VB's damage once fully built up, on top of becoming invincible late game to make up for any potential power creep

The only "good" part about it is if you're running both agl and str vegito you get to fuse both on the same turn, but I've only ever had to do that once.

Incase you havent already, id like to see a video comparing Vegito units to Gogeta units. Dokkan devs seem to show heavy favoritism to Gogeta imo. For example, 9th anniversary only had ONE fusion for a fusion year being Gogeta. Sure, str Vegito got a good (yet still underwhelming) eza whereas teq Gogeta got an outstanding eza. Then for 7th anniversary we were given 2 Gogeta units. Those are just 2 examples off the top of my head, but with 10th anni right around the corner along with the 7 year units eza-ing and a possible super eza for str Gogeta, it could be a neat video idea.

I know it's not a pretty much good team [Android/Cell saga], but still trunks in that team is a nice 2nd slot bc in "base form" he had like 70% of activating guard which sucked yeah, but it would have lasted like 1 rotation bc if he runs in that team, with add from the Hidden potential build he could risk only his first turn, then you are safe. Plus, when transformed, his active skill is a ghost usher, and that's pog. 9:09 well at least they succeded to become a meme

a quick word on agl trunks: he was not bad on release, he was actually pretty decent. the trasformation not making him much better was bad design but in terms of stats he wasn't bad at the time of his release. but he was the last dfe to come out before the 7th year powercreep which made 99% of the game unusable, so this guy fell off pretty Quickly. this is for the ogs, dokkan did let a trunks from this arc cook, it was at the first release of the phy LR trunks back at the third year of the game. at that time category leaders were new and str ultimate gohan released with a hybrid leader skill, and this trunks was doing DAMAGE. the team was only broken if u had the p2w version with int gohan, phy trunks and agl goten and trunks but the roster was decent regardless

Especially for releasing during the 8th anni when Fusion Zamasu was the issue. If we get multiple enemy fights that are tough then sure, but it never existed

@legendaryred24 with AGL Vegito you could die of course if you cannot fuse them in time, but their chances of evade were good, instead of Zamasu that became useless in turn 5, also his healing was very annoying if you wanted to trasform into infinite Zamasu. Worst also is the fact you could transform just one. I think Vegito has just a junky base form with low dmg but you could lose hp, so his active was easier to achieve.

@ Sure, but the team itself was not great for Zamasu, so low health was not too hard. But also Corrupted Zamasu is much stronger than Base Blues even without Intro.

AGL blues were elite on release, borderline required for dismal future red zone. However, their biggest problem is the slot 1 restriction for dodge and extra defense, not the HP condition. There would be much less complaining if they could dodge in slot 2 and 3. Nobody bitches about fusion zamasu even though his condition is the same and design was similar but better, although it could also be that the expectations were extremely high and not fulfilled given that VB is a big hype character.

The issue is just how inconsistent the Blues are and yes performance wise they were elite but this is comparing it to peoples expectations and it definitely did not measure up

nah agl vb still shouldnt be on here. You're talking about him in todays terms. Back then he was extremely good defensively slot 1 compared to the other units of 2023. His restrictions werent terrible since future saga was very good after wwc. he could also transform easily because of how hard the bosses hit turn 1

@@legendaryred24 then they are dumb af the main problem with vegito was the transformation condition which this is what was the problem with their release but vegito blue but firstly vb was pretty broken by himself when you got him out and their defence for the first turns was massive som most units couldnt match at the time and their damage was not as bad as you may think in slot 2

Brother I’ve played the game since day 1 lol. You can literally see the videos on VB I have lol, and it is me defending him on release, and my whole section isn’t even slandering VB. He is on here not because he was not good on release, but because he did not match people’s expectations, not even close. So many restrictions and low attack stats, that made them an unfun and annoying unit. Compared to how fusions normally are in this game, it was a compete let down
