it just a "auto-complete" function of his editor Ryder. You can do the same in Visual Studio, if you type "[sf" and than hit Tab.

does this mean that we'll have to configure each keypad with its respective door in the inspector?
@AlecAndersonZx4 жыл бұрын
Yes, although if you have a lot of the same object in your scene you could try just hooking up one keypad and door then copying and pasting them a lot. Not sure if that will work but it's worth a try

>keypad works as intended >messes with the code >keypad works identically to before >amazing No seriously what does that change in the most non-programmic, uga buga language that one could explain it in?
@Walter58502 жыл бұрын
allows you to easily configure what should happen for each keypad instance in the scene. maybe some keypads play a different sound when unlocked, maybe some open different doors, trigger special events like timers etc. The code stays exactly the same, but you hook up different functions on the Unlock event. Think of it like exposing your variables in the inspector, so you can easily tweak them per game object instance, except now you're tweaking which functions get called.
@EpicVoiceShitposting2 жыл бұрын
@@Walter5850 I said non-programmic uga buga language "you hook up different functions on the Unlock event.
