Awesome, this will come in handy, thanks man. Performance tools, tips and tricks could be an idea for a good tutorial video if you ever feel like it. Often overlooked but important topic that's rarely covered.

@@dangerdom904 Yes to all of the above haha. I personally know nothing regarding optimizing for VR except to use low polygon models and keep an eye on frame rates. So anything you know and you think is helpful would help many i'm sure.

Do you know how important is changing the Color Space to Linear is? In terms of being rejected or not? When I change it to Linear, they skybox I'm using stops working...

You won't be rejected, that's just the recommended color space now-a-days. You can check out the list of requirements here: developer.oculus.com/distribute/publish-quest-req/ It's best to take them into account early or it'll be a pain down the road. Also, try changing the skybox's cubemap to linear. There should be a checkbox in the inspector when you click the cubemap called "linear", just swap it from whatever it is. Not the material, the cubemap the material is using.

@@dangerdom904 Excellent thank you. Yeah, I have that link bookmarked and didn't get to it yet cause it looked extensive but decided to tackle it now for the same reason you mentioned! It'll be a pain later if I don't look into it now. I looked everywhere in the skybox and related materials and didn't find any of the mentioned settings. The skybox is actually a sphere that uses a customizable shader. I'll keep it to gamma for now and noted it as something to look into if I run into performance issues down the line. Thanks again for your help, much appreciated!

@@dangerdom904 Actually, there's an option in the skyboxe's shader to "Rebuild Star System" and that fixed it. There's no cubemap in this skybox... It's using the inside of a sphere... Problem solved though!
