Thanks Joe, great video, and companion article. I recently sold out of my position in Unity for some of the reasons you mentioned. I have this gut feeling that this merger with Iron Source is going to take time to sort through, and the market today will likely punish any hiccups the company might have. I still like the company, but I’m back in the wait-and-see camp. Furthermore, this whole AI thing, kind of scares me. Will AI make programmers, and SAAS Companies Obsolete? Or turn a few companies in to Monsters that no one can compete with? AI may be the epitome of disruptive tech.

Quality comment, thank you for the input! There's a lot of unknowns around AI such that many investors - especially in quality SaaS firms - are questioning what impacts might be. Too early to say, but AI has been here a while. It's just the recent improvements that have people questioning. The AI banter in the Unity call was frankly just not that edifying.

Our data? Can you clarify that question a bit more please? Like the 2,300 pieces we've published and 400 videos? That would be our proprietary data (for the most part) and it's all scrapable and likely being munched on by algos.

The business is now in hot water with their primary client group. Game developers will want to move away from using Unity even if they promise to walk back their latest monetization plan. There was already very little value in using Unity and now they seem to want to nickel and dime everyone. I will have to see how the business performs once this new monetization is actually launched. I am not filled with confidence at this time. Disc - No holdings, just tracking.

We've been seeing lots of banter about this, including on our Discord server. The initial reaction to a change like this will be quite emotional, so we're planning to wait for the dust to settle. This would likely be raised in the next earnings call by analysts so we can see what the company says then. When you say "little value in using Unity," well that's not necessarily true because we're constantly throwing around metrics about how everyone uses it, so must be some value there. ;) Like you, we're also waiting to see how this affects revenues.

@@Nanalyze Most of the existing users do not have many alternative options for the time being. That much is true and it will likely deliver some profits to Unity over the next few quarters. The longer term outlook is not that bright as it stands. Just my understanding 😉
