It's a nice tutorial. But please my particle strips stops showing once I add set position to the update particle strips context. How do I go about with it

You're making this Awesome videos with No 🙅🏻‍♀️ Sound 😫 how would we understand then, you may have some privacy reasons for not adding sound but, atleast you could have used Googles Voice Sound ( text to speech 💬 ) or atleast some subtitles should be given 😢

Dig the tutorial! I'm not sure what the "Multiply float" was in the random direction subgraph. Also, why not just do a normalized vector3 with 3 different seeded (-1 to 1) random numbers? The x vector in your random direction has its own seed, but did you mean to tie the y and z vectors to the same seed for a somewhat controlled random direction?

Hi, i just want to ask when i create Note "random direction" my Unity only have "Random number" have no others choice. How can i have multi choice as you (video 1: 55 time)

RandomDirection node is a subgraph operator node, An Operator Subgraph is a Subgraph that specifically contains a set of Operators packaged together to use as an Operator, A Subgraph appears as a single Node that you can use in another Visual Effect Graph or Subgraph, You can use Create/Visual Effects/Visual Effect Subgraph Operator to create it, you can see 1:56~2:14 for the introduction of the nodes contained in it, or you can directly connect the nodes inside without using the subgraph operator.

I love this but I can't figure out how you got the follow working even though I've gone back over it a bunch and done the transform parameter and position binder

I can't determine the problem you encountered, but I suggest you first confirm that the Unity version is consistent with mine - 2021.2.17f1 (HDRP). Different versions may cause different problems.

This way the VFX graph has to stay att 0,0,0 in the world. Or it will offset the target. I tried to have the VFXgraph on my player, but that offsets the target that is infront of player with any values that the player moves in xyz. Also if 0,0,0 is behind your camera it culles the whole graph and wont render it as it belvies it is behind the camera. Can you help =) I want to be able to put it on a player. And the target is somewhere else

Hi, I had the same issue. When you are using the VFX property binder and you add transform you have to make sure in the "Property" part you click the drop arrow and select "target" and then in the transform you select your character's transform. That way is binded to the character and there's no need to move it from 0,0,0. Hope this helps :)

If using virtual camera this effect will not display when it out of bound main camera position which was at the start of the game. How to fix it?

Fixed it: just bind target`s position parameter to particle Initialize bounds

It is recommended to convert to the URP version. Since I have not used it on mobile, I cannot be sure, but I think there is a chance. It actually does not use too many particles.

I can't search RandomDirection node on my Unity. Is this a version problem? mine is 21.3.23f

​@@EricWang0110 yes but what is seed (assuming a uint, but what), what does the bottom multiply node multiply by, and what is connected to the x,y,z of the vector 3? I can't duplicate the RandomDirection without that info

@@Amuterasu creating a seed variable by using uint, at the end of the subgraph, the direction also an output variable.
