Universal's Epic Universe is opening in 2025 in Orlando, Florida with the largest roller coaster at the new amusement park being a collection of TWO racing and dueling attractions from MACK Rides. POV and Off-Ride, Green Side. The name is rumored as "Starfall Racers." The rides feature two launches each, 1-2 inversions each, and a bunch of airtime. It is similar to a MACK Hypercoaster layout, although around 135 feet tall at its highest point, and launched instead of a lift hill. 62mph. The ride will be unlike anything else in the World. I'm praying that there are no morons who will ruin this for everyone. DD 1.0 was torn down and replaced with Hagrid's because of a brutal accident when someone didn't wear appropriate shoes and somehow got on the ride. When the coasters ran towards each other into their loops, the shoe flew off and hit someone on the opposite coaster. The victim lost an eye!

Mack are just getting better and better! They'll be amongst the very very best within a few years if they continue improving on their already great models while innovating simultanuously.

Not really. The ride experiences is laughably far behind Intamin, B&M, and RMC. They aren't really close in smoothness and the simple quality of trains gliding over the track correctly is something Mack still can't seem to quite get right. Even Vekoma has left Mack in the dust. Mack builds the most impressive eye-popping stats and crazy compact layout but their ride experience is a rattly bumpy mess. You feel like you're riding a discount roller coaster on a Mack. Doesn't mean they don't make amazing rides. TONS of them. But no, they are not on their way to B&M/Intamin status. They are firmly the best budget option only.

I'm imagining this having been commissioned with that in mind, honestly. Given that the common cause of Deuling Dragons incidents was loose items falling out of pockets and striking other passengers at the dueling points, I cant help but see some intentions in this design that seem aimed at avoiding such an issue while carrying on the thrilling sensation of the close interactions. Its not a suspended coaster with dueling points where the momentum of the track practically carries each train into each other in near-misses, thus forcing loose objects at each other. This one is an upright coaster with close encounters moving more fluidly together like a dance. Maybe Im reading too much into a freaking thrill ride, lol.

I only had the opportunity to ride duelling dragons once but it’s stayed with me as such a great experience. The main bit I remember was the loop where peoples feet nearly touched, it would be so cool to have that again. Amazing video thank you

@Qris Im 95% sure he handbuilt this one. This has a couple distinct roll "wobbles" that are the tail tail mark of a hand-built creation. There very discrete so he's VERY good at hand building if that's the case.

Mack are the most different, they are wide with holes in the side. Some vekoma and intamin look identical though, although if it has vests it’s vekoma. The ones in the animation are mack

Intamin has a pretty diffrent look to the track. They have to start a normal looking triangular track shape but then on the bottom there is a second spine beneath rhe first
