This is bad for me as don't understand things even simple things on paper to point it stresses me out to a full meltdown and communications stops when too stressed out. Coping even with support is hard enough trying to live a daily routine.

I am going to have a universal credit telephone assessment this week . In the letter it says I have to let them know at least 2 days prior to the assessment if I in tend to record the assessment. I did this but was told I would have to let them have a copy of the recording at the end of the assessment. It doesn’t say in the letter I have to give them a copy of the recording. I said please send me in writing where is says I have to give them a copy of the recording, at this point the call turned Nasty and I was told the assessment would probably now be cancelled.

In late 2020 and early 2021 i had 3 operations on my right knee for ligament reconstruction involving hamstring grafts from each leg and a patella graft from my knee to make 3 new ligaments. I was put on ESA for a year then moved to UC and I think i have been put in the support group as I am not required to look for work but I have never received any extra income like it says in this video. All I have been getting it the standard UC payment. I am expecting a phone call in the next few days for a reassessment

I think I am likely to be put in the work related activity group, but I can’t find much information about what that will mean. On the DWP website it says that you have to do up to 35 hours per week of work related activities. The only examples of work related activities that I’ve been able to find are things like writing a CV and researching local transport links. These are things you can only do once, so I don’t see how anyone can spend 35 hours each week doing things like that. If anyone reading this is in the work related activity group, I would be grateful if you would give me some idea of the types of things you have to do, and how often. I imagine there will be differences depending on each individual situation, but just to have some idea of what might be expected of me would be helpful.

You can add job alerts via emails to your phone or laptop and read through the various jobs available every day. You can report doing this in your UC online journal, under work search section. This way you are spending time looking for work. I have 2 part-time jobs as a cleaning operative but need more work to fulfill the level of earned income, which recently went up. I still have to go to the Job Centre or have phone appointments with them. Soon it will be fortnightly appointments for me. I hope some of my reply helps you.

Oh, job alerts by email are Indeed, Find A Job, WM Jobs, Total Jobs, Glassdoor, British Jobs... You can search for them and subscribe. Keep looking through every day and delete ones not applicable ie. Brain Surgeon 😊 If you don't, they'll pile up and take ages to get through.
