What’s the price at the Cabana hotel and does this hotel have enough space let’s say for family and do they have a buffet over their too and how big is the space at the cabana hotel and do these guys do Military or police discounts ? and can it fit me and my family

Tim thank you so much for showing the Cabana Bay cat. We stayed there in April and the cat is very friendly if you feed it. The cat is a female and was pregnant when we were there. She did have a hurt paw and we made sure the workers were aware of it. They take care of her and the workers already have agreed to take home the kittens. There was a woman who wanted to take the cat home with her she drove and we flew, so it would have been easier for her but the workers promised she would be well taken care of. I was so happy that you showed her and she looks relaxed and well. Thank you, made me smile.

We were there in April also and fed the kitty. I swear my husband is a cat whisperer, lol. She allowed him to pet her and got quite comfortable with him. She was very sweet. Unfortunately, we flew also so couldn't take her home. While in Orlando we popped in this past January just to tour our favorite resort, but didn't see her. I got so excited to see her in the video. Can't wait to show him when he gets home tonight.

@@largol33t1 Just saw your post. Sorry it took so long. I'm pretty sure she's just an outdoor kitty. Lots of guests feed her. I have to wonder if she is still as skittish as she was when we first saw her in April 2018. So funny to see Tim's vlog and there she was. Hope you get to see her.

@@irenepierce167 An update, I got back from a one week stay. I never saw the Cabana Bay cat. She might have either moved on to another hotel or someone adopted her. I pray she didn't get hit by a car. The hotels on this block have no sidewalks! Even worse, there are no crosswalks or lights to guide pedestrians. Unbelievable. They make everyone use the overhead bridge but you have to scan your room key at the VERY unreliable gates on each end. This was so aggravating and took so long that I just refused to walk over to the other side for the rest of the trip. And the ones around Cabana Bay's pool area are also unreliable. Sometimes, after the key card beeps the lock, I had to wiggle the handle to get it to move! Overall, it was decent but the rooms are not kept up well (found two LONG black hairs on the supposedly washed sheets) and in some hallways, the carpet has a noticeable rip.

I REALLY like the look. It's so sleek but still has a happy personality. The interior designers really knew their stuff and it clearly shows. I've stayed at a hotel (it opened long before Cabana Bay) that tried to imitate this look and failed hilariously. It was some small name hotel, nothing owned by the 'Big 4' (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Holiday Inn).

I've stayed here. Absolutely fantastic resort, it's one of my favorites in all of Orlando. I love the theme, it's so light and cheerful. The family suite is very well designed for four people. Getting a drink poolside or at the Swizzle is a great way to wind down. The lazy river is really nice to have, we went every day. The staff was very friendly and well trained. You can walk to the resorts via a path just past the Thunderbird building but it's a long trek. Lastly, it's an affordable hotel. One drawback (and it's a big one): no included express pass with this resort. For that reason alone, I've stayed at both Hard Rock and Royal Pacific (neither of which I liked as much).

My husband and I stayed in the Volcano Bay side room last September on our honeymoon. We arrived at the hotel too early for our check in but they held our luggage for us while we looked around and grabbed lunch. They texted us when the room was ready and we picked up our luggage and went to our room. We had the most amazing view! It was so breath taking! Seeing this video brought back so many memories! I can smell how the room smelled just from watching this video... might be weird. And the fish tacos at the bar by the pool were amazing! I can’t wait to go back one day!

My son & I stayed there last August & it is a fantastic hotel! I loved the decor/theme. Rooms were clean & spacious. Our view overlooked the lazy river and, if you pressed your face up against the window, you could see the volcano from Volcano Bay. I really liked the diner in the hotel. Tons & tons of food to choose from. All very resonable. All nights we were there, we ate for around $20-$25 for two people. I would definitely recommend staying there. You get access to early park hours. You also have two pools to swim in & the lazy river. All the pools were very nice. Also, where we stayed, it was a very short walk to Volcano Bay. It was great!

I'm always very happy when you do a resort tour. There's a LOT of good non-Disney and non-Universal owned resorts around the parks that I'd like to know more about. Often I don't even know these exist until you do a tour on them or if I make a specific point to look at a map of the surrounding areas. I love Cabana Bay! I recently went to Universal with my parents and we stayed in this hotel. The whole 50s/60s aesthetic made it that much more fun to stay at. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The diner’s food was delicious and the rooms were gorgeous. The beds were so comfortable. I remember I would relax in the lazy river for hours and repeatedly ride the water slide in the atomic pool. I also remember spending a long time looking at all of the merchandise they had in the gift shop. If my parents and I go back to Universal, I want to stay here again. :)

Mouse Street TV Universal Resorts really blow the Disney ones out of the water! I had always stayed at Disney resorts but on my last trip did Cabana Bay. You get so many more things at Universal Resorts for less money. Definitely recommend staying here!

Universal hotels are far and away better than even the best Disney resorts.. That being said, cabana bay does not have a ferryboat that takes you to the parks and it doesn’t include fastpass with the room rate like some of the other hotels do

I am SO GLAD to see the cabana bay kitty!!! We were there back in November of 2017 and met him! He is actually super sweet. We gave him some food and milk. Multiple guests were feeding him. The staff said he kind of just appeared. He seemed happy. I'm glad he is OK. I often think of him! :-)

My husband and I have watched your videos for almost two years now and i've never chimed in until now. We are so relieved that "Cabana" the cat is ok. I went there last month. Am a bit let down that I never saw the cat. But it's a great hotel. The one catch of going in January is that although crowds are VERY light, you run the risk of Volcano Bay being shut down. They will try to open it but there were signs everywhere saying "Because of unexpected cold weather, Volcano Bay is closed." There were quite a few angry kids in the lobby. I can't blame them since they came all the way to see the water park. I think their parents took them to Universal to cheer them up. It's only four minutes away by bus and Universal's bus system is punctual and reliable.

i watched this video when it came out last year, and yesterday i returned from florida after staying at cabana bay resort cor two weeks and my heart is so full, i met time while i was over there and i’ve never had a better holiday, i had to come back and watch this and just hear the noises of cabana bay, like the pool gates shutting and the bar tenders working and so on, i feel sad that my holiday is over but i’m glad i can come back to this video whenever i need a cheering up. i love cabana bay and our volcano view room, it was more than i could have dreamed of

Floridas' Tower of Terror is built in the Neo-Mediterranean Style. Art Deco has a more streamlined symmetry to it. Think Chrysler Building or Buffalo City Hall.

Now I'm curious. Did the UK have buildings designed like that in the 1960s? That's the time in America the designers were trying to imitate. They should have included a MINI with the other classic cars on display. I used to own a current generation BMW version of the MINI and can see why it was so popular in the late 1960s.

This is by far the coolest hotel I've ever been to. We went for 5 days to do Universal Studios. The hotel itself is worth spending a day at enjoying. We did the arcade, bowling, the pools and s'mores. Just eating stuff at the hotel and enjoying the day there. So much to do just at the hotel. I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend this place.

I stayed there during wrestlemania weekend when it was in Orlando. it's the best experience I've ever had. that new building was still in development however, I was fortunate to have a nice view of the volcano ever morning. def expensive but worth every penny with the fun we had.

It was well worth the money with some much to do and so many perks with some great amenities on the entire resort property. I love the fact that if you don’t spend a day at any of the parks you can still enjoy what this resort has to offer. I love it very much.

Love Cabana Bay! We've stayed there and at Hard Rock club level. Both are terrific but only CB is a repeater for us. CB has such a great vibe and the cafe food is good and well priced. Our room was at the end of one of the tower sections, 235 steps from the elevator (we counted). This was pre-Volcano Bay. When our plane was late, we got to hang at the lobby bar a bit: live music, good cocktails, yummy snacks, perfection! On the way to the parks one morning, we met Lucy who was on her way to the lobby for a meet and greet, awesome! The only thing Tim missed was the shuttle bus spot. It's located at the end of the row of classic cars outside the lobby doors. Another great vlog!

When I first came to this hotel to go to universal studios in Florida I thought it was going to be like ‘one of those other boring hotels that you’ve been to’ but when literally the minute I stepped into the hotel and went to go to my room, i felt like I was in an airport in the 1960’s, the cafeteria felt like I was in a 60’s Hollywood movie, the hotel room felt like you were in the 60’s, it’s a whole different experience in this hotel, you can get a 60’s vibe the minute you walk in. You won’t want to miss it.

Great Suite, it's always good to have a seating area, instead of trying to get comfortable sitting on the bed. The Pool view was lovely, but then the Volcano Bay view blew me away. Really like this Resort.

My husband and I just LOVE this place!! Been there every year since it opened and we will be back this year! Just wanted to add that the gym - Jack LaLanne - is simply fabulous!!! It has the top of the line fitness equipment (LifeFitness) with a selection of free weights, and many fitness "accessories" added to make your workout worthwhile! All the cardio equipment (which there is quite the selection, as you said Tim) is equipped with a tv connected to the internet. There are also locker rooms with showers and combination lockers. We have checked out ALL the gyms at each of the Loews resorts there in Orlando and this hotel is definitely the best all around. It's also well maintained and VERY large with a lot of room! Thank you, Tim, for a video of our favorite hotel. . . VERY well done, for sure!!! I felt like I was right there with you. . . :)

I've been to Cabana Bay for each of my trips to Halloween Horror Nights and it's incredible. Despite being the cheapest on-resort hotel for Universal, it's stunning. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating, they've helped me get organized and properly prepared to head into the parks. Plus, now that Volcano Bay is next door and you can literally walk to it from the hotel, it feels like you're getting so much more for the price. I have no doubt the other, more expensive hotels are even more luxurious, and worth it for their price. But I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Cabana Bay

Cabana Bay is an amazing resort! We’ve been staying there ever since it opened for HHN. The Diner closes at 11:00 but if you come in by the mural they have pizza and drinks for sale which is so much better than trying to get food at Citywalk before heading back to your room. The volcano rooms are beautiful but keep in mind you need to try for floor five or higher. If not it will be a obstructed view most likely of the fence or the back of the restaurants in Volcano Bay.

Try your best to get the Americana wing on the top floor IF you can put up with the loooong walk to the elevators. I got my room by pure luck and it had excellent views of the volcano, which are stunning at sunset or at night. There is a big catch: other visitors have said during summer months, it can get noisy at night if Volcano Bay is crowded so you might not want that part of the hotel in June or July...
