I love the decor and amenities. But I'm sad that the hotel placemat maps are just pictures. They used to have a cool cartoon of the resort instead. I guess they change the format every few years. Oh, and Cabana Bay is the only hotel (possibly only BUILDING of any kind!) in Florida with a second floor bowling alley.

I stayed here last spring (2023) and I absolutely loved it. The staff was so nice and there was so much in the hotel itself, so accessing food was easy. Also, my friends and I could easily walk to the pool whenever we wanted and then walk back to our rooms. I miss this so much, definitely coming back here soon’

Just got back to the UK from our stay at Cabana Bay. It was a great treat and surprise to bump into you and Sam on our first night there. Really enjoy all of your videos and it’s been extra nice to come home and then watch this particular one with such great Cabana Bay memories. I got to surprise my wife with staying in that tower for her birthday in 2021. The cutest photo I have of her is of her in her Gryffindor robes looking out at the Volcano. I love the idea of the timelapse from the room window! That was such a cool thing to see; especially that storm coming in. Amazing as always!

We did this night for $130, the only Disney resorts currently that get close to this price are All Stars and really only All Star Sports (and even then it's more), I've found Universal hotels to be a great value for what you get.

The pool area is awesome but I think it was rude of the guests to just drop their towels and run. They could have at least thrown them in the used towel bins by the dressing room. I always used the bin whenever I went swimming there.

Love the design and architecture of CBBR!!! Transports me back to how the malls, stores and, well, lotsa stuff, looked in the early 1960s!!! This hotel seems to take the best of all the late 50s/early 60s Wildwood Crest NJ motels’ and bowling alleys everywhere architecture!!!

For the first time, I booked a vacation in January. It was FREEZING cold. This had a lot of pros and cons. The pros are the hotel rates are significantly lower and the cold weather scared off a lot of people in the hotel and the theme parks. The pool and lazy river were heated so I could still go swimming. I found out about this when I was wondering why people were flocking to the pool in big numbers when the information screens in the lobby said the temperature was nowhere near 74 degrees, LOL... However, there are big tradeoffs that might upset your kids if you take them. Volcano Bay will most certainly be closed for maintenance. Universal sees the first three months up to spring break as "winter cleaning." In the theme parks, Jurassic Park was heavily fenced off because they were installing track supports for the Velocicoaster. It was FREEZING. Don't let Florida's tropical climate fool you. If you go in January, you will need at least a sweater and pants. The crowds don't arrive until 3-4 pm because many of them are locals. The cold weather did make it easier to navigate both Harry Potter parks though and wait times for the big rides was never longer than 20-30 minutes. Overall, I still loved my vacation at Universal and enjoyed the hotel. I'd stay there again in the future for sure.

I loooove Cabana Bay! But I reserve stays there for during HHN, since it was always our HHN resort. Feels wrong to be there at other times of the year, although I DID love our quick Christmas stay this past year. YAY - glad to see the salad bar is finally back. That was always one of my favorite food options. Love the new mugs too - I'll have to get one to add to my Cabana collection.

Like you said..it’s not perfect. We had a view of the volcano at our last stay but we were miles away from the dining area. There were SO many teens hanging out at the pool in the evening and bowling area..it actually made my 16 year old son uncomfortable. Lots and lots of kids. But you get what you pay for. We totally loved the lazy river in the morning..but again, more crazy kids

I love the way you do your montages for universal. I’m a veteran forklift driver and the parks amaze me with their process I want to eventually work for universal. I always stay at surf side when I come down. It’s a 20 walk from the park if I need to do it. there’s a super Wawa 4-5 blocks down the road and a giordano’s pizza. So I can grab beers and food. Also 7/11 is like 2 blocks from both dockside/surf side. I’m from New Jersey so the area is pretty much “fun/hot nj” to me. Great vid maybe one day I’ll get the chance to stay at the resort types. Until then surfside it is.
