I've been to 345 Hunter Hayes shows, and he was there opening night of universal Mardi gras in 2016 I waited there from park open in line. I remember it like it was yesterday. Such a fun time!

I love how universal does Mardi Gras. All the food looks interesting and they put glitter by hand on the floats, that’s impressive. I’m so glad you got to ride on the float and be a bead thrower… Lol that’s cool, I’m gonna be driving through New Orleans in June, so I’m definitely gonna stop and get me some original beignets.

Oh Yeah! Happy opening day of Mardi Gras!! 🎉 The food and beverage card is a must! especially If you plan on eating and drinking like I do Lol! Plus you can use it at other events, which is great! We are only getting to come to Florida for three days. I have to hit Universal, Sea World and Busch Gardens. So I only get one day at Universal and that is going to be so Hard because I so want to see "Foster the People". I love Mardi Gras, but it turning out to be a busy time at work. But I will take what I can get. I will watch your every visit - It helps me decide what I need to see and get. That way I can saver over minute on just what I need to do for the best visit. Bananas foster is bananas, brown and white sugar with Brady and banana liqueur. Sugar becomes Carmel if it reduces. I’m surprised that there isn’t a dairy element as bananas foster is always served over ice cream.

no pass to get in, coconut club is open w no cover charge. Samples not included, this was just for this opening day event. But you can get all the food in the park, and I recommend the food and beverage card I showed! Great value.

My favorite meal from the festival so far is the maple salmon from the Canadian booth. I was definitely not expecting it to be so good. I made the mistake of starting with the king cake. That dish is meant for 2 or 3 people, not one. 😅
