how much higher was it on cab like how many inches or feet did it go over cab? I got similar truck 02 chevy s10 similar size, my carport is 6' 3", im gonna raise carport anyway but still wanna know if it will fit under it or not

Hi Kory, do you think it could be mounted on a style side ranger? It looks like there is room for the supports to rotate around a little further, my stepside is 46" between the rails.

Maybe if you switched the left and right side uprights so they bent out instead of in. It's already pushing it on a compact truck as it's designed for a full size. I don't think there is enough room to angle it enough for a styleside without some custom fabrication.

I am having some troubles making it straight, plumb true. Do you have a trick that you did once its set ontop of bed? I am going to lock in the back 2 feet and see what goes next. I also still have all the bolts and nuts just hand tight, should I tighten them from the back to the front? Its obvi super wobbly, but I was kinda hoping you had a trick for making it square? Thanks and dig the vids man!

I got it close and sent it with the impact gun. It's a cheap universal kit and won't be perfect.

How difficult or cumbersome is it to remove the rear horizontal bar? In the event I need to load something that is taller than the rack. For example a refrigerator? Can it be done on the fly with some basic tools?

Thanks for the video. I was able to put mine together in under 2 hours with the help from this video. The only issue I have is the humming noise after about 50 mph. I tried duck taping all the holes in the gussets but didn't stop it. I'm thinking about putting something on the front rail. Just wondering if anyone else has come up with a solution?

Looks good but those j hooks are annoyingly long. They look dangerous almost, anyways ways I'm getting on today. I'll probably just trim em down. Did those j hooks come with the kit?

Came with it, I later cut them with an angle grinder flush with the top of the nuts

Harbor freight. the same ladder rack is sold under three or four different brands, but it's all the same thing with different stickers. Harbor freight had the cheapest price with the coupon
