Lyrics Over the heath in the first light of morning Über die Heide, im ersten morgendlichen Schein Move the birds, where will they be tomorrow? Ziehen die Vögel, wo mögen sie wohl morgen sein I follow the rustling of wings into the silent moor Ich folge dem Rauschen der Schwingen in das stille Moor Ancient songs emerge from the Mists Uralte Lieder dringen aus den Nebeln vor Come and fly away with us Komm und fliege mit uns fort Let the wind carry you away from this place Lass dem Wind dich tragen, weit fort von diesem Ort Come and fly as high as you can Komm und flieg so hoch du kannst Let's chase the heavens in dance Lass uns die Himmel jagen im Tanz Mists like silk brush my skin so cool Nebel wie Seide streifen meine Haut so kühl Further and further, where do I find the goal of my longing? Weiter und weiter, wo find' ich meiner Sehnsucht Ziel? I close my eyes and a plumage sprouts Ich schließe die Augen und mir sprießt ein Federkleid I already feel the wind and spread my wings Schon spür ich den Wind und mache meine Flügel weit Come and fly away with us Komm und fliege mit uns fort Let the wind carry you away from this place Lass dem Wind dich tragen, weit fort von diesem Ort Come and fly as high as you can Komm und flieg so hoch du kannst Let's chase the heavens in dance Lass uns die Himmel jagen im Tanz The heavens in you, how can I know them, can they see them? Die Himmel in dir, wie kann ich sie wissen, kann sie seh'n? We dance in flight, like stars that go their own way Wir tanzen im Fluge, wie Sterne, die ihrer Wege zieh'n Come and fly away with us Komm und fliege mit uns fort Let the wind carry you away from this place Lass dem Wind dich tragen, weit fort von diesem Ort Come and fly as high as you can Komm und flieg so hoch du kannst Let's chase the heavens in dance Lass uns die Himmel jagen im Tanz

Why cant Eurovision be like this? Why they don't showcase instead they're folk music instead of pop music? And that way, they can also preserve their heritage and culture? I love watching and listening this ancient-like and folk musics around the globe.
@GreenLeafUponTheSky4 жыл бұрын
I guess a lot of people have lost interest in history, especially of their own nation. Therefore, these people don’t know about the existence of such music. They just go with what’s "cool" with their friends, afraid to stand out for listening to other kinds of music. Seems like peer pressure. Eurovision thus goes with what’s trending with the different nation’s people. That’s my guess. Personally, I listen to many genres, classical, modern. Medieval songs, military marches, modern synth, etc. Our world is rich with music for everyone, and comes from different points in history.

I love to imagine the times when this kind of music was ‘contemporary’. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want to live without ambulances, antibiotics and proper toilets. But somehow, being nostalgic about the old days resembles a longing for a less rushed, more basic life. More in tune with ourselves and nature. German, Celtic, Slavic... though different peoples, they all had their similarities. And today, we’re all mixed and mingled among each other and I think that’s beautiful ❤️ Let’s sit together and make music every once in a while.

As best I can, I do live that way. Like you, I want the benefits of modernity but without the entanglements. It is not all that hard. It just takes a certain commitment and shared beliefs with friends. Peter Callaghan truly inspiring! Some only see extremes: either a life as a urban, capitalist Borg or living without electricity and clean water.... but in reality, balance is the answer, I think. I hope more and more people find the courage to disentangle themselves from the modern hassle and realise that it doesn’t take all that much to live a satisfying life. I have recently decided to ditch my ‘career’ and go back to working part time in the social/ care sector, so I can be with people and spend the rest of my time writing books. Will also start to grow my own potatoes and carrots - looking forward to it! But yeah, thank god for KZbin :D

Faun’s Federkleid was one of the first KZbin videos I watched. That same year, I discovered their Diese Kalte Nacht, Tanz mit mir, and Walpurgisnacht. Playing their videos on repeat transported me to a fantasy land. It was my way of escaping the reality of living in someone else’s home, where spirituality were banned and process food were thrown at my face everyday. Almost a decade later, on Sep 27, 2024, it’s hard to believe that that fantasy land has never left. It has always existed for me, all this time, and I was honored to have found myself in it today, at the North American Tour in Le Poisson Rouge NYC. Faun’s music is the shadow to follow, the baptism I have chosen for myself. There is some nostalgia felt from my terrible childhood, but more so is the reminder that I am heading in the right direction in life. No more processed junks, no more being told what to believe in, no more addictions and distractions. Just living in the moment - the raw, dynamic world for as long as I can.

SONG'S TRASLATION PLUMAGE Across the heath, in the early morning glow Birds pass on by, where may they be tomorrow I follow the sizzling of the wings into the somber moor Age-old songs resound from the haze Come and fly away with us Let the wind carry you Far away from this place Come and fly as high as you can Let us chase the skies In our dance Silken Haze, so chilly, brushing my skin Further and further, where shall I find my yearning's goal I close my eyes and grow a plumage I feel the wind already and spread my wings to fly Come and fly away with us Let the wind carry you Far away from this place Come and fly as high as you can Let us chase the skies In our dance The heavens in you, how can I know them, can I see them In flight we dance like the stars, moving on their paths Come and fly away with us Let the wind carry you Far away from this place Come and fly as high as you can Let us chase the skies In our dance

Spot on, though I'mst German immigrant, you cannot take the German out of me, I have always believed in these ways somehow, I don't really why....I have beliefs I cannot talk about with other friends, but with my late husband could, he was 1/3 Cherokee and as I have researched, a lot of Indian beliefs are in our soul, that is me.

Above the heather, in the first morning glow Birds are going, where may they be tomorrow I follow the murmurs, the vibrations of the quiet moor. Ancient songs come up through the mists. Come and fly away with us. Let the wind carry you far away from this place! Come and fly as high as you can.

@@Dave.Mustaine.Is.Genius Most certainly, the way things are going now are insane, I even as a 3 yr old in Germany, I had a pet white rat and loved watching June bugs, and after in U.S. on a farm, I was in heaven...were we had propane of course, no air conditioning, lived off the land on a large farm, on my stepfather's 300 acre's, father's farm....right up my ally...I milked cows, took care of about 1,000 chickens, no running water, and later in spring, took care of chicks, worked in the garden....and once I moved to another place near there, collected a lot of frogs and garter snakes. I took care of a very young Angus bull, he was premature I slept with it, and fed it....I had so many wonderful experiences with nature that I was unhappy in a city....lost my husband and now live in a small town, which is just fine with me....material things are not so important to me now. I have a computer and cell phone, but that is enough....only listen to a lot of German music, because that is just me.....
