Yes, and there is a double meaning in the lyrics that we can't translate in english or idk what else. The Seine (river) and the Scène (stage) sound exactly the same. In french, this song is so much more than a movie's song, it's a real masterpiece (and Vanessa paradis and "M" are among the best french singers). I can only wish you to study the french lyrics !! Just an information for the english people, in the french version there's a play of word with 2 words which have the same sound : la Seine and la Scène but unfortunately it's possible only in this version, in the others it lost all it charm ☺ ( sorry if I have a bad spelling I'm French I just wanted to tell that because it's important for this version 😊 )

What does La Seine mean? I read somewhere it means “the blood” and the song is about being in “the heart of Paris”. Is that right?

ThatWeirdGirl “La seine” is the name of the river that crosses Paris, and the pun is about the word “scène” that also means scene. Both words have the same pronounciation in french, that’s what the playword is about :))

One of the best animated movies ever. Well, this didn't came too much as a surprise since after all France has a very respectable animation industry! The plot, the atmosphere, the characters, the dialog, the score, the animation, everything is top notch, suave, incredibly funny and witty, so in my humble opinion it deserves a better recognition worldwide.
