This movie saved me. I was having a rough time in my life and was in a depressing funk. I went alone to see this in the theater and literally laughed for 90 minutes. I laughed so hard my abs hurt. I walked out of that place walking on air and I felt as if the clouds had lifted. Laughter can heal.

@l337pwnage

There are honest ones, but they are never allowed near powerful positions and if they are _too_ honest, they are removed from the system because they are a threat. This is because as corrupt as the system is, it maintains power by pretending to be honest, so, when certain things get publicly exposed, the system is forced to take action to keep up appearances. The most recent highest profile case, of course, was Ep Stein. The system took a huge credibility hit with that one. Basically, if you are too honest, you'll only be allowed to be a low level functionary. Look what happened to Tulsi. She is a skilled politician and waaayy "too" honest, so she got sidelined. She's kinda lucky she didn't find a cause that really triggered her sensibilities too much, we know what happens to Democrats who say too much.

@joeyg1463 well I think he did get fired but that was later on like towards the ending because in that courtroom he felt he made a huge mistake when that woman is filing divorce and she was greedy and leaving a good father absolutely nothing but getting scammed that's why he spoke up and possibly got fired at that scene. That is how much later on in the movie where he got in trouble. With that honestly I believe he thought Jim Carrey was joking when he said that even though he didn't sound joking in that scene. That was painful for the kids who loved their dad no matter what towards the end.

Jim Carrey acts through indicating, which is something most actors try to avoid. For him it works and makes his acting very different from others, but that's why it feels like he's acting so much more... He quite literally is.
@Crasher1982

@@BungtwinginglyFunny I doubt he indicates. He seems to get very into his character. Indicating is kind of shallow cause you go through the motions but you aren't really feeling it.
