There are honest ones, but they are never allowed near powerful positions and if they are _too_ honest, they are removed from the system because they are a threat. This is because as corrupt as the system is, it maintains power by pretending to be honest, so, when certain things get publicly exposed, the system is forced to take action to keep up appearances. The most recent highest profile case, of course, was Ep Stein. The system took a huge credibility hit with that one. Basically, if you are too honest, you'll only be allowed to be a low level functionary. Look what happened to Tulsi. She is a skilled politician and waaayy "too" honest, so she got sidelined. She's kinda lucky she didn't find a cause that really triggered her sensibilities too much, we know what happens to Democrats who say too much.

That is how much later on in the movie where he got in trouble. With that honestly I believe he thought Jim Carrey was joking when he said that even though he didn't sound joking in that scene. Absolutely LOVE this film. One of his three MOST hilarious, along with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Dumb & Dumber. He has many other hilarious films, but for me, personally, those are his 3 funniest (and most quotable). His BEST film, though? The Truman Show.

there's no actor dead or alive or even those yet unborn that can pull out this scene anywhere close to this level of excellence. Jim Carrey is UNIQUE.

I Love Jim Carrey! His Best Roles in my Opinion is: The Mask. & The Grinch! He Always put More to it that make you Laugh So hard! Also He Did Amazing Job Playing As Dr Eggman on The First Two Sonic Movies!

Some boss with giant ego will not fire people on the spot for some public name calling because they want to keep the image of "relatable" boss. Fletcher wasn't delivering the line with any aggression so the boss can play it off as a roasting joke.

I've never seen my father genuinely laugh until I played him the mask. I don't understand why a talent like Carry isn't making movies till this day. They're few actors that i can truly say I enjoyed all their films . There's no one like him.
