It looked ok in 2 there's certain shots in 3D where it looks fine but there's also some in there where it doesn't as for revenge this is the worst looking shark of the franchise by far because there's shots where you can see the equipment on the Shark plus sharks don't roar or stand on their tippy toes last I checked sharks don't have toes.

Jaws and Jaws 2 are great movies. The rest are trash. This scene has one of the most glaring errors in cinematic history. Michael Caine has been in the water, swimming to safety onto the boat, but later, his shirt is as dry as if it has just been freshly laundered. The death of the shark makes no sense and is trying so hard to replicate the famous scene from the first movie. Speaking of which, they took two clips from said movie and used them in this scene. Look at the first and fourth one back to back to see what I'm talking about.

I feel like the FX dept realized the top coating on the animatronic shark wasn’t nearly as waterproof as would be useful on the first film.. so they used a marine grade coating on the subsequent sharks that make them look like painted foam.. that’s my best guess.

Little fact - reason why this movie is called 'jaws the revenge' instead of just 'jaws 4' is cause they want to tell the audience that 'jaws 3' is non cannon, sort of a pretend it didnt happen (due to how bad they saw it). Only to realise this one was so much worse 😂

Early drafts of the script, and the novelization, had the shark being possessed by a witch doctor, thus the line "You can't believe that voodoo" in the beginning. And another plot point eventually dropped from the film had Hoagie involved in a money laundering scheme to cover his gambling debt. Again, something hinted at in the final cut, "I deliver laundry". And lastly, the ending was drastically altered. The original uncut ending had the shark bleeding to death, not exploding, and Jake dies. It was deemed too graphic, and was re-shot.

Now this is something i wanna talk about. Jaws: The Revenge is one of Universal's most worst Brenna Thornton dogshits ever conceived, and yet, a 4K blu ray has been released. Normally, i have this thought that 4K blurays are only made for movies that are tremendous, beautiful, Cherami Leigh puppy dog masterpieces, like American Graffiti, The Grinch 2000 and Despicable Me.
